The original premises are getting crowded, we need to expand.

Welcome all women, and well behaved animals.

Are you eating the guests, Boiled?

No......

<Wipes a stray left arm from chin>

Ok. I've made you some cream puffs to sit on instead, to avoid the temptation

Too late.

What?!?

I was hungry!

No one is ever accepting an invite to mine ever again are they?

If it helps the sofa was filled with SNP and Rainbow green party members

I did warn them not to touch the tv remote.

They thought I was joking!

Boiled doesn't share the remote!

Oh you lot do make me laugh! Boily, could you see your way to eating sports people who identify as.women when they are clearly not? That might help the cause.

The cat in your picture looks very apprehensive and has markedly skinny legs.

She can't work out how to drink her pint without drowning in it.

The cat looks like a "Marjorie" to me. Could that be her name?

MarieDeGournay · 03/09/2024 21:31

'Oh good heavens no, Gladys, not for me - I ate my young just an hour ago'
Gary Larson, of courseSmile

That poor cat suspects she's one of the left overs and that any minute now . . .

I am completely in awe of your AI creative skills, Boiled. Every time I try to instruct it to create something, it foils me. AI can't count, I think numbers confuse it, so it's no good expecting Beetle to have 6 legs. Trying again, I asked for "realistic animal friends" having a tea party with the Beetle. Huh

I'll be honest mine very rarely gives me what I asked for!! And it totally struggles with how many legs a Beetle has! Worrying yesterday it put in human toes on one of the bandaged beetles

So I wandered into St Botolph's churchyard this evening before going back to my hotel and found the front door of the Bluestocking. I wandered in with the expectation that it would be tiny. Knowing the buildings that surround it, it couldn't be more than 4 metres by 4 metres. It's fucking huge! How does that work?

I ordered a bottle of Meursault, a small cottage loaf and some green olives and wandered through to the garden where I settled myself under a weeping willow. The wine was perfect - as dry as the Gobi Desert and as flinty as a trout stream. The loaf was beautifully crusty with a heavenly body, perfectly accompanied by the salty butter and the olives were wonderful.

My only problem is that the bottle of wine won't empty. I have had 8 glasses and there are still 2 glasses in the bottle.

I have to go to work tomorrow. Can someone help me?

It's basically a combination of 12 Grimaud Place, the Tardis and the Room of Requirement. Only with better gardens and animals.

Re the wine - just shove the cork back in and put it in a fridge. The refilling means it won't oxidise.

EdithStourton · 03/09/2024 22:01

Well, Jane, I can certainly help with the wine. I have had a busy evening and a nice glass would go down every well.

I'll be making some more bread tomorrow, probably ready by lunchtime for those who fancy a loaf to themselves.

ErrolTheDragon · 03/09/2024 22:05

I made another of my half oatbran, half wholemeal bricks at the weekend - this time deliberately. Turns out both DH and I like it, so I guess the bad bread pixies have mended their ways.

The Sunday roast in the Blustocking works the same way, the beef, Yorkshire puddings and gravy just keep appearing on your plate until you're full! It's ace!
