There seems to have been some kind of issue between the two of them today.
What's occurring?

Rosie Duffield posted a response on Twitter regarding the Cass report congratulating a number of people. Someone called her out on it, asking why Posie Parker was not on the list. Duffield said, yes, Posie has "undoubtedly led a lot of people to understanding these issues (including me when I didn't have much of an idea) - but this was specifically about those in the political arena." Posie then posted a response herself (all below).

So it's about acknowledgement of effort.

That's bizarre, there's not much more political than taking to the streets to give speeches and attracting larger and larger crowds of supporters and enough violent opposition that the police have to regularly protect her and her supporters. She frequently made international news around the world (I am in the USA and saw her interviewed) and popularized Adult Human Female as a slogan. She was also asking many of the most pertinent, relevant questions on Twitter long before they became talking points for others. Such as asking if her 13 yr old dd should have to share changing rooms with a man? Now called the Standiland question.
She clearly is a maverick and a populist but she definitely brought the problems with Gender Ideology to public attention in an imaginative and brazen way. Viva KJK!

Isn’t she a “pro-life” radical? Sorry if I’ve got that wrong but would explain why some need to keep a little distance while concurring on gender

Nope and she's been endlessly torn apart and misrepresented on this board over the past couple of days, so let's not start this fucking nonsense all over again.

Remind us who
A - arranged the first meeting to which all MPs were invited to talk about this?
B - ended up forming a new political party out of all this?
C - literally nearly got killed for this?

I thought it was spectacularly off to be honest.

And why I'm not backslapping anyone.

This was so disappointing of Rosie Duffield. Kellie Jay Keen made me be brave in everyday life and I spoke to everyone I could about this. I really admire her

I feel the same. Rosie thanked so many and to deliberately leave Kellie from her list was in bad taste. Her response makes it obvious she wants to distance herself. Sad that she feels this is necessary.

I am immensely grateful to KJK for her brave campaigning.

Surely Rosie Duffield is entitled to say what she thinks. We are either for her right to make her points in any way she choses or we are as bad as the TRA's. Give her a break, the are on politically poles apart.

I am disappointed in Rosie Duffield for thanking many brave women but leaving KJK, one of the most fearless (and effective) out of that list.
I agree that it looks as though she wants to distance herself and is playing safe. A shame.

She is. But saying it is because she isn't political enough is absolutely nonsensical, particularly when she needed KJK's support in the beginning.

It's like the person who wants a bag of sugar when they are in need, but then hands out sugar to everyone but you when they have a lorryload of sugar delivered. It is a deliberate snub.

Rosie Duffield has disappointed me, but as a Labour loyalist she is incapable of imagining a better future for women which is not delivered by Labour. That guides her behaviour.
Helen Joyce disappointed me when she seemed to be telling some of us off for refusing to comply with pronouns diktats from men. I still value her voice.

Kathleen Stock said a while ago that we shouldn't get drawn into taking sides in the spats which always occur. I took that to heart.

I feel for KJK here, and anyone in the future who complains that she doesn't work well with other people should be reminded of her experiences of being stabbed in the back by former allies.

So, without ignoring this or minimising this, I will try to move on and continue to support actions and interventions by all the people fighting on our side because we need everyone and they all have different contributions to make.

Complete projection. Maybe she credits other feminists with doing more of the leg work? Maybe she just doesn't like KJK very much?

The cult of personality around KJK is so strong that her followers really take it so personally if KJK isn't front amd centre of everything. It's very intriguing.

The juxtaposition of how Rosie Duffield is normally spoken of by GC feminists and what's happening to her now is striking. Let the woman thank who she wants for goodness sake. And stop projecting some sort of capture onto her. She's shown she's more than capable of making her own mind up about things, and is not afraid of challenging the party line.

I can fully understand why KJK is unhappy about this but I can also understand why Rosie, battling some pretty batshit zealots in her own party, didn't mention her. I however think these backslapping lists of people to "thank" aren't a good idea in the first place, from anyone. They always open up a can of worms.

She said she'd be willing to give up women's abortion rights to win the gender wars and women could win them back later once this was all over.

This. There are a number of women who RD didn't mention who have been outstanding committed campaigners. She's entitled to mention who she wants. I'm sure it might be hurtful to all those women and groups who didn't get a mention but that's because there are now so bloody many.
All this just looks childish.

She didn't just thank women, there was a lot of men on the list too - James Dreyfus was one I remember.

Wasn't Rosie Duffield specifically acknowledging women who have been speaking up against the affirmative model of care for children? Questions like the one above, although important, are about single sex spaces not childhood gender transition and not really relevant to The Cass Report. Yes I know KJK does speak up about childhood transition but that is not her only focus.

There are other women that I would have mentioned if I had been compiling that list with Stella O'Malley being the first one that comes to mind.

So Rosie can say what she wants but you felt the need to start a third thread about the things KJK says? Yet another ironic post from you.

Personally, I agree with Eresh on this. I can see both sides.

KJK has been extremely critical of Hillary Cass and the review. I don’t understand why she would want thanking for something she seems to think has been a pointless exercise.
