The question asked in Thread 1 has still not been answered satisfactorily, and so the quest continues to discover which side of the fence Tunnocks are on or whether they are in fact sat atop the fence throwing Snowballls and Tea cakes at both sides.

I have no idea where the link below will send you. hopefully to the original thread and at the start, but it could be a completely different thread half way through. I'm too full of sugar to concentrate properly!

@Melroses @IcakethereforeIam

I had a birthday trip out to home bargains last month and caught myself many a Tunnocks product.

I was very nice and didn't buy any of the dark tea cakes. Because I haaaaaaaaate am a kind and considerate person who always puts others first.

So glad that you are a such a kind and considerate person, because you left plenty for my birthday too 🥰

Birthday Tunnocks must surely be the best type of Tunnocks.

It's on the train with me.

😁UTDOD is going on its holidays! Will there be sat at station waiting for next train shots? Sunbathing on the beach? No swimming photos, books are allergic to water.

The having the ice cream and fish and chips whilst the seagulls flock will be fun!

So excited!

We are on the second train now and UTDOD is illustrating the importance of sun safety and being prepared. Talc is for removing sand from feet.

In years to come these are going to make the strangest of "oh look, and this is back in 2023 when I took a book for a day out at the beach" holiday snaps in the photo album!

Love it.

You and UTDOD are very well prepared for your adventures!

I notice your travel Tunnocks are either camera shy or have already been eaten!

We are out of Tunnocks and it's due to be 26 degrees today and they'd melt but never fear, I shall get some for tomorrow.
In other news I've discovered M&S sell multi snack packs of chocolate raisins. To be honest I thought the big bags were snack packs. Surely they are a portion? I do like a large portion though.

Oh in that heat, yeah, not a pleasant experience finding a melted Tunnocks in the bottom of the bag!

The actual snack packs must contain, what like three chocolate raisins?

UTDOD meets my seaside ribbons. They've been there 2 years now.

I want an ingratitude button 🙁

I love that they knew people would want one but decided to deny us the ability to tell certain posters to fuck off via the medium of an ingratitude button!

We all know what would happen with some posters posts. There would be no way to police 😁 us from pressing it On every post forever!

OP posts:
IcakethereforeIam · 04/09/2023 11:01

Perhaps, what we could do is post an 'ingratitude' below the wanky poster then everyone can thank that post. Although, that wouldn't work because only the 'ingratitude' poster could see it. 'Tis a pickle.

well the poster who posted the word ingratitude could then just post

I see no gratitude button on the app. Nor is there any sea to sea. Tide is always out.
When we got here it was quiet and we chose a nice spot away from anyone. It's a huge beach. Since then several noisy people have set up camp right next to us. Like 6-10ft away. What is wrong with people? Then they walk right past you flicking sand at you with their dusty crusty feet, I don't like people. Mumsnet is as much social interaction as I need. Is it time for ice cream yet?

It'd have to be screen shots or you could just make up any old number.

Always time for ice cream when you are by the sea!

why do people do that? its like when you are in the doctors waiting room and there is only one other person there then someone comes in and sits right next to you. there's a whole fucking waiting room mate, piss off with your germs breathing on me!

But on the plus side, they will be close enough to see your reading material.

is UTDOD enjoying the sea breeze on its pages, sand on it's cover? hope it doesn't get sunburn and need a lie down. it is after all used to darkness.

@CervixSampler it's always time for ice cream!

I've just had a thought, there's those places that make their own ice creams and often have novel flavours. They always have oreo and loftus(?) biscuit but I've never seen a Tunnocks flavour 🙁

You know this could be one of those things we actually end up despising!

At the moment you can convince yourself that your posts are witty and informative and that everyone loves them as there's no way to know any different,.

But this 👇 on posts if you're sensitive to these things could cause immense psychological trauma to those who may be affected by such things...

goes off to wail in a corner.

Now you said novel and I thought oh "I'll have Under the Duvet of Darkness flavour (Mainly edible, but slightly bitter with a dash of irony) as the bottom scoop with Tunnocks caramel flavour on top, oh and a flake!"

OP posts:
IcakethereforeIam · 04/09/2023 11:56

Thomas Hardy flavour; bitterer than you were expecting.
