Sarah Jane Baker, on the Trans Pride stage, saying

“If you see a TERF, punch them in the fucking face!”

to a cheering crowd :)

NB to MNHQ the video shows this being said. It is not just an allegation being shared.

Honest to God the Met are such an absolute shower. Women shouldn’t have to go hunting out the applicable legislation & guidance around application so that if-when we report a crime we can explain to the police exactly how & why it is a crime. Jaysus. We’d do better with the policeman from Noddy teamed up with Officer Pugh (& his colleagues) from the Ahlberg’s Cops & Robbers 🤦‍♀️

I mean, I’m glad they reopened the case, don’t get me wrong - but they don’t deserve any plaudits for it, they should simply never have closed it; & discussing that disgrace of a first response has led to a MN user being threatened & having to remove herself from this conversation. I’m hoping she’ll drop back in using a different name, but who could blame her for staying away?!

Dont think I can stomach looking at the photos. It’s all so screamingly aggressively male - in the very worst of violent, misogynistic, abusive, & aggressively sexual ways.

"Trans Drag Queens Against Brainless Twats," eh? I wonder why they hate themselves.

I was going to mention the Mail story about him being investigated, but fromorbit has quite rudely beaten me to it. 😀 Quite why he hasn't already been recalled to prison is a mystery to me; other lifers seem to get whisked off pretty rapidly, for often seemingly minor offences.

funnelfan · 10/07/2023 15:23

There’s a few photos of young people proudly showing their mastectomy scars, which I found so so sad.

Spero relieved to hear that you will get police security. I’m so sorry that it is necessary.

+1
What a world we live in.

Sarah Jane Baker at Trans Pride got up on stage and proclaimed “I was gonna come here and be really fluffy and really nice and say yeah be really lovely and queer and gay. Nah… if you see a TERF, punch them in the fucking face!”

Best Laid Plans

As I was on my way today,
I’d decided to be nice,
And really rather fluffy.
Should have took my own advice!

Because instead of being lovely,
And yay for queer and gay,
I decided to big up myself
And have my vicious say.

So when I arrived and got on stage
I couldn’t show much grace.
Instead of joy and pleasantries…
“If you see a TERF, punch ‘em in the fucking face!””

ArabeIIaScott · 10/07/2023 15:40

Yes, Spero I'm glad to hear the police are taking this more seriously, now. Hope all goes well at the launch.

I honestly hope they are all exceptionally pleased with their double mastectomies and remain so for life.

I suspect however quite a large percentage will come to regret the decisions they have made.

I'm not sure which slogan is worse, of these two. I've not shared the pic of the person with testicles hanging out they's swimming costume, but it's in there, as are pictures of families who attended.

Did you spot the ‘Be trans, do crime’ sign? V strange

lots of ‘trans rights now!’ Which does prompt the response ‘could you be more specific?’

I do suspect that half these people couldn’t actually answer that question

Because why would any woman pause in her life to think - that man has just said he'll punch me in the face if I say 'no' to any of his insane demands? Anyone else reminded of the abuser in their life who snarled 'don't you fucking cry, don't you fucking look at me' while enjoying themselves abusing you?

We're celebrating and feting the deranged. A police 'service' is doing this, while at the same time making tinkly noises about VAWG.

You could not at this point write a fucking comedy show this nuts.

SinnerBoy · 10/07/2023 16:21

Nobody would be able to believe it.

Froodwithatowel · 10/07/2023 16:22

Planning to write to my MP and point out that since apparently I'm not entitled to equal policing, as a woman and as someone with a legal belief the police are now prejudiced against, I'd like some of my taxes back please.

They can be paid for by their members.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 10/07/2023 16:25

So much of this feels like that.

I hope that has been shared with police and probation. Does the fucker actually have to kill a woman?

DewinDwl · 10/07/2023 16:32

Has anyone from Pride or the trans community distanced themselves from these threats?

"We condemn all violence"
"Threats are unacceptable"
"This individual does not represent our views, the threats have been reported"
"Trans is about acceptance for all"
Etc.

Anything from Pride, Stonewall, Mermaids? Anyone? Anything?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 10/07/2023 16:33

Take a guess.

AmuseBish · 10/07/2023 16:50

Wow, seems to be a lot of people in those Vogue pictures who are evidently convinced that a gender belongs to one particular bodily sex.

Clearly it's unacceptable to a lot of people to have, for example, a female body with whatever non-female gender they have.

We call those 'terfs', don't we?

Take a guess.

I know, right?

My access to Twitter is all over the place these days so I thought I might have missed something.

I want to think that there were people in the parade who, trans or not, were horrified by SJB's words. Where are they? Why the complicit silence?

CorruptedCauldron · 10/07/2023 17:01

Women aren’t allowed to meet and talk about issues that affect them as biological women without attracting angry protests from trans rights activists. Meanwhile, trans rights activists have their flags flown all over the country and can hold trans-centred marches, demos and talks without the threat of disruption from gender-critical women. With backing from the London mayor, they can stand on platforms and speak freely, calling for terfs (gender-critical women) to be punched in the effing face. This is ignored by most of the mainstream media including the BBC, while the Met Police’s initial response is ‘nuffink to see here, freedom of speech mate’. Just remind me… who are the oppressed ones? Who needs security just to launch a freaking book? Who is at risk of losing their jobs, their livelihoods, being doxxed, cancelled and demonised? Is it trans rights activists? Or is it biological women? Never before has a so-called marginalised, oppressed group wielded so much devastating power and received so much unquestioning support and validation from the top tiers of society, including central and local government, police and the NHS to name a few.

Of course, there are many decent and inoffensive trans people out there who want to live in peace. They need to distance themselves from these violent arseholes before their would-be allies start peaking left, right and centre.

The Home Secretary Suella Braverman is now involved:

"I'm glad the police have decided to investigate this incident at a Trans Pride Event, having initially closed it with no further action.

I'm sure the police will consider the evidence carefully."

If I was Baker I would be somewhat worried.

Another three articles, basically covering similar ground.

JOAN SMITH at Unherd
https://unherd.com/thepost/calls-for-violence-in-the-trans-debate-only-come-from-one-side/

Brendan O Neil at provides a second article at the Spectator
"How did Trans Pride allow itself to become a front for misogyny?" [Surely a title intended in black humour]
https://archive.is/BbR7L

Tom Slater at Spiked
https://www.spiked-online.com/2023/07/10/punch-a-terf-the-violent-misogyny-of-the-trans-movement/

I have seen a few trans people on Twitter upset about this and slagging off Baker. Some trying to justify it. Others blaming the crowd for cheering and seeing it as a disaster. Generally seeing it as a win for Terfs. Well guys this is on you. All you need to do is basic safeguarding. On the gender crit side we have had huge rows over political positions, being too left or right, and over some of us basically being more bad tempered and outspoken than others.

TRA side do we let the violent criminal torturer who wanted Denis Neilson as a mate speak for us? Oh go on.

A win? A win?! In what fucking universe is women being terrorised by a convicted violent male a fucking 'win'?!

Oh, I forgot.

  1. The worst thing about male violence is that it makes men look bad.
ArabeIIaScott · 10/07/2023 17:12

From the DM article:

''I reached out to the staff and said to them, ''if you don't help me, I will help myself'', and they just laughed,' she remembered.
'I said, ''I will remove my own testicles, that's what I'll do''... I am genuinely a person of my word, if I tell you I'm going to do something then I'm going to do it.
'I've also been diagnosed with a personality disorder and one of my risk factors is being impulsive.'

When someone tells you who they are; believe them.
