Yes this is the feminism board. Paul Embery clipped it but I wonder if anyone saw it in full? He says the piece was about the impact of soaring water bills on an everyday mother. The voiceover calls the person a customer but the customer calls themself a mum. On the Twitter thread someone points out that the customer works for the TUC and is an economist who has been published in the Guardian. I think it’s fair to say the customer is neither a mother nor an ‘everyday’ one.

The only boards I’ve seen which rival this level of hatred are Incel and Men’s Right’s Activtists.

There should be disgust at this. There's a difference between that and hate. Maybe examine why you feel it's wrong for women (and some men) to have a visceral reaction here. Because it certainly isn't us that are in the wrong.

Just to clarify then, you are okay with a male putting his nipple in an infant's mouth and letting them ingest untested and potentially harmful secretions?

What is the benefit to the baby? How is it hatred exactly?
Is concern for a child hatred just because everything "trans" is sacred and beyond reproach?

Thelnebriati · 02/07/2023 23:46

Children should not be used to validate adults feelings. This is a basic safeguarding issue, if you can't see it you should stop and examine why you have a blind spot.

FrancescaContini · 02/07/2023 23:51

There are millions of mums in the UK, and ITV chose to interview a man calling himself a mum. How can a man be a mum, when only women can be mums?

Anyone who priorities their own validation above a child's well-being is a fucking monster

I’m quite comfortable with the level of hatred I feel towards this man.

Abso fucking lutly and women are being called haters and bigots because we are the protectors of our babies and young !

dimorphism · 03/07/2023 00:16

I'm totally ok with hating child abusers.

HootyMcBooby76 · 03/07/2023 00:21

Hope you are not actually a teacher (going by your user name) that is peddling this shite to children.

Littlesprouts · 03/07/2023 00:28

The last time breastfeeding the child. On a bus on the way for... cancer treatment?

A private moment between mother and child if ever there was one. Not one to be marked by a smug, smiling, oh-so-affirming selfie on public transport, 'tit' out for social media. This person is absolutely abhorrent. The TUC are supporting this, playing along as if this is okay? Unforgivable.

As am I. The thing is I didn't start off hating him. I was annoyed that he was the mother they chose for the piece. I think men who call themselves women and mothers are liars, but I didn't hate the man just thought the whole thing rather annoying that of all the women in the UK they could have used they used a male one.

THEN he published that photo and my feelings then became hatred. But then I have a hatred of anyone proved to be a child abuser.

SmartHome · 03/07/2023 02:47

That poor baby. I hope it's is being fed proper milk as well, breast or formula or that will have god knows what affects on its development.

SmartHome · 03/07/2023 03:12

Was being, I think it's about 3 now. There was obviously and actual woman somewhere doing the actual feeding.

MrsJamin · 03/07/2023 04:55

Safeguarding isn't hatred. I really hope you're not a real teacher @teacher45646

Yummingtons · 03/07/2023 07:02

I don't understand women who are OK with this. Are you all ok with their DD's meeting a man, giving birth to a baby, then that man taking over the role of mother and pretending to breastfeed the child?

Have you thought through to the end game of this, because it is not going to stop here. The words used to describe us; woman, mother, breastfeeding and more are all being g eradicated. Then the physical aspects are too; pregnancy being outsourced to surrogates, men taking over and pretending to breastfeeding. What's next?

You are all OK with this? You are all OK with this happening to YOUR daughters just so you can say you have been inclusive and kind?

Yummingtons · 03/07/2023 07:03

Sorry, not trying to blame women, but showing exasperation at people like teacher45646.

Well you can cheer your daughter on happily when a man takes over her mother role with your grandchildren. You can say how amazing it is that the man is and you can tell her how amazing you all are and pat yourselves on the back about how you made a baby suckle at a man's nipple to eat chemically induced "milk" and you can all gaze in at how this is all perfect and normal and definitely in the best interests if the child and how much your daughter is being overlooked in the whole process in order to validate your son I. Laws feelings. Bravo you guys.

But I won't be supporting that in my family.

MrsJamin · 03/07/2023 08:03

How is this man in charge of a baby? Even temporarily or infrequently? Which council area does he live in so that we can call social services safeguarding officers? I'm so disturbed by this.

Many women don't realise that there is such a thing as a lactation fetish. (HQ, I'm categorically not assigning this fetish to any specific individual).

Unfortunately the internet is plastered with men saying how they have used a breast pump for months, in order to get two drops of liquid.

it's my understanding that it is impossible for males to sustain any kind of nutrition for an infant. But that doesn't stop them trying, or, more often, claiming they have.

The fetish has long been known, the new angle is claiming it's a right, within the context of diversity and inclusion.
