Yes this is the feminism board. Paul Embery clipped it but I wonder if anyone saw it in full? He says the piece was about the impact of soaring water bills on an everyday mother. The voiceover calls the person a customer but the customer calls themself a mum. On the Twitter thread someone points out that the customer works for the TUC and is an economist who has been published in the Guardian. I think it’s fair to say the customer is neither a mother nor an ‘everyday’ one.

Even if, for arguments sake transwomen could induce lactation and feed a baby (stick with me), but that it has to be induced with chemicals (and so many, because they are biologically not supposed to do that). Why the fuck would anyone still go ahead and do it? I just can’t get my head around someone doing that, knowing they’ve ingested so many chemicals and could pass onto the baby. Not when there are so many viable other options readily available. I’ve tried to debate this with some supporters of males breastfeeding, but it is just ignored. The sheer entitlement, lack of empathy, lack of worry for the infant is just bloody terrifying and really upsetting.

Becuase validating a man's feelings is more important than anything else in the world. Because people like Mika have gone so far down the rabbit hole they think what they are doing is right and normal and justified.

You have to be mentally ill to think you, as a male, have a right to feed a newborn baby (in fact ANY human being) chemically induced liquid from your artificially inflated breasts and by having that baby suck on your nipples instead of providing that HUMAN BEING with actual nourishing food from a female breast with actual milk in it or a decent, nutritious ,safe and tested alternative from a bottle.

There is no thought or consideration for the human being being fed - the only thought and consideration is that towards Mika and what HE wants.

There are many (many) narcissistic men in the world, including those that fit this description, but that does not make them mentally ill.

A self-centred, narcissistic knob with a tenuous grip on reality.

I fear talk guidelines would not be my friend if I did.

Personality disorders - or clusters thereof - are not a mental illness. Paraphilias, or again, clusters thereof- also not a mental illness.

ArabeIIaScott · 06/07/2023 20:59

To be clear I'm not diagnosing this person. Just noting how disordered and anti social behaviour is different from 'mental illness'. They aren't mutually exclusive, either, of course.

That works for me. Though I’m guessing a grip on reality is there in that this person knows full well what they’re doing.

You may very well say that. I could not possibly comment.

Let's just say that in their presented narrative, they have had difficulties with the actualité.
