Transmen

Lots of people generally think that people should use the toilets/facilities of their biological sex.
This would mean transmen using the women's bathroom. Lots of transmen 'pass' as men, which means if they're in the women's toilets then people will fell unsafe and uncomfortable with a 'man' in the women's toilets. You wouldn't know if they had a penis or not. They're just a man in the women's bathroom.

Lots of time you really can't tell a transman is trans not just a man if they've taken hormones.

Birth certs and GRCs and genitals aren't checked when you enter a public space.

This could prompt men claiming theyre transmen to enter women's spaces too, no?

Does anyone actually have experience of a trans woman physically preventing them from using the toilet?

There has been a few lesbians on here saying they have been kicked out from women toilets because they didn’t look feminine enough….

I'd walk out if there was a man in the ladies.

Not kicked out, just challenged.

A short haired, tall woman in jeans and a checked shirt might look male at first glance or from a distance but once interpersonal interaction takes place the challenger just apologises and scuttles away, embarrassed 😂

That doesn't answer my question. Actually, just noticed I am on the wrong thread so I may be confusing the discussion.

I meant to respond to a transphobic thread about trans women using women's toilets.

Sorry everyone. As you were.

Here’s a lovely Substack post written by Ceri Black, femme lesbian married to a butch lesbian.

Butch Handmaidens

Or: are lesbians really being harassed in the toilets by terfs?

But yes, lots and lots of women self exclude rather than share a single sex space with a man who says he’s woman and/or wears women’s clothing and/or has a legal sex of female and a biological sex of male.

It’s the maleness that’s the problem, not the transness - no males in female spaces!
