This needs to be shared far and wide!
Made by a YouTube auditor who had no idea what the protest was about and was shocked by the protesters and police.
Think he has just peaked a few thousand more people ( read the comments!)

Out Of Control Trans Protest! TLA Takes On Entire Protest! Police Get Owned #fail #pinac #metpolice

Hi GuysI really don't know where to start with this one. To say It was crazy just doesn't quite cut it.I happened to come across a trans protest in the form ...

I've heard it put 'if you can't blind them with science, baffle them with bullshit'.

Very similar to the way I deal with cold callers.

I recognise that 'benign diversion' tactic from many scenarios. It's a familiar mo of misogynist 'skeptics' - keep politely analysing language, repeat the same questions and digress all over the place until your opponent is too frustrated to continue. There's a German saying "If you can't convince, confuse."

I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet I will mention class. The TRAs are of the ruling class and that is why the police protect them. They know all those protesters (mostly white, well-spoken, students) are well-connected or have parents who have deep pockets for solicitors or they will one day be their employers.

Who were all the people in hi-vis writing notes?

protest organisers call them ‘legal observers’.

They are supposed to observe the police and private security but on Saturday they seem to have directed the majority of their attention on a Scotsman with a camera:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_observer

Good call on the police recognising the middle class was of the protestors- I hear Des O’Connors granddaughter was one of the GenderBorg at speakers corner?

FKATondelayo · 27/03/2023 18:36

Des O'Connor's daughter is so fucking random.
To be honest I thought any daughter of Des would be a pensioner so I had to google to check it was her.

IwantToRetire · 27/03/2023 18:43

'benign diversion'

Must try and remember that!!

IwantToRetire · 27/03/2023 18:47

So now they are distorting the sometimes very needed role of legal observers.

But that's standard for them isn't it.

Only those who agree with them are legal, every one else is breaching their rights - and the police seem to agree.

Hepwo · 27/03/2023 17:18

The kids banners were all pro trans prisoners.

Given their beliefs in male lesbians we know what that means.

They are being led by the ex con in this protest.

What foolish children. All those tiny little girls running around after that ex con and demanding women's prisons for rapists.

Ugh.

Maybe they really approve of Levi Bellman trying to get married and feel the UK govt are NAZIs!!! for stepping in and stopping it.

Daughter! Wow! I thought that was a typo.

Another rich old man having a baby with a much younger woman 😬

QueenHippolyta · 27/03/2023 19:09

I'm so fecking angry that a bunch of peaceful middle-aged Lesbians cannot meet without men or straight s protesting us!
It's insane and not on. It just shows you how fake progressives can be...
What did we have maybe 10 good years of societal acceptance of Lesbians?

MelsMoneyTree · 27/03/2023 19:26

It's interesting that both the police and the MRAs rely on people not knowing their rights, then move to physically encroaching in people's space, intimidation and threats.
Obviously none of the people involved (from the police to the MRAs) have spent enough time in Scotland. If they had, they'd have known how it would unfold Grin

Sorry due to ongoing internet problems haven't had time to read all this thread (also has been discussed on other threads) but in response to What's with the tactical chatters

This is part of a known tactic used by some left / alternative groups where they are aware people might re-act to what they see visually and then try to engage them with nice reasonable behaviour.

I loved how his response at one point was "Dont patronise me" (suspect that was a much to do with the English accent)>

But again these are taught tactics as is the one to make it appear a street party, and the use of blocking filming re placards etc.. Wearing masks.

What this hints at (have to admit copied from a facebook discussion) is that parts of the left have either infiltrated the TRAs or the other way round.

But may also explain why they so often resort of screaming Nazi or Fascists.

It is the same schoolboy male student performance politics, and making sure you are identified as being on the right (ie left) side of politics.

So much as some women's group like to claim that gender critical feminists have opened the door to right wingers, what is clear is that the TRAs have opened the door to some extreme left groups (eg defund the police).

And yes, it is sad but true, too many young women, out in the world on their own for the first time at university, thing these loud mouth male lefties are to be admired and followed.

I wonder now if there are factions within the TRA movement. This "protest" seemed to lack the drag act section of the anti women, in this case, lesbian LGBTQI+ community.

(Yes loved the bit at the end when fellow Scots had a brief exchange. That one encounter - apart from the comments under the video - probably confirmed for him who was on the right side of history!)

I mean, this video is a good ad for defunding the police if all they do with their money is stand around protecting no one, not knowing the law, and violating rights! Hardly an extreme position.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 27/03/2023 19:33

*wonders how much terfs would need to crowd fund to make this a reality.

Set one up and I will gladly contribute Grin

I fully and totally apologise to all Scottish men and women for my slip of the fingers - I hope and believe that you will not come after me masked and declaring me a fascist for it!

Especially I apologise to TLA, and the lovely lady with a dog at the end :)

Boiledbeetle · 27/03/2023 19:46

god! that looks more evil than it did when dead small

Sorry!

Tanith · 27/03/2023 19:56

They watched him right from the start of the film. It's disquieting to notice how often they glance at him, then send someone over to suss him out or stand nearby.

mach2 · 27/03/2023 20:07

Had a look at TLA's channel and he seems to be the sort who films police stations, jobcentres or other places where someone waving a camera around will attract attention.

Hopefully, he'll cover demos now, where independent scrutiny is needed.

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 27/03/2023 21:19

it all starts to go south when he says 'no'

they can't deal with it

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 27/03/2023 21:20

I think people maybe onto something with the class comments. they expect him to obey orders

colouringindoors · 27/03/2023 21:22

Utterly compelling footage, I watched it all today. Quite bemusing to see this guy be peaked in real time. But a chiling confirmation that the Met are at best powerless to deal with the TRAs, at worst... Really hope he doesn't get scared off by their tactics - he's already being smeared on social media. He would be amazing at Speaker's Corner!

Bergamotte · 27/03/2023 21:27

I was a bit surprised to hear him ask "What's a legal observer?" If I've understood what an auditor is in this context, they have a similar role.

Did think it was quite funny that the megaphone-wielder "assumed TLA's gender," calling him "You sad man" at 10 minutes in!

In general I did find TLA quite antagonistic though. Trying to persuade the police to prosecute for a public order offence, for someone shouting from the other side of the street (and at that point not particularly threatening violence).
Maybe it's my female socialisation, but my reaction to someone vaguely shouting insults would NOT be to shout back; I'd think it safer not to engage; not to rile them up or draw their attention.

And I found him arrogant towards the police inspector at the end.

I hope his attitude isn't enough to turn people off the points raised by the video.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 27/03/2023 21:49

@CryptoFascistMadameCholet I saw they mentioned the drag protests at Honour Oak.

I saw this video of a protest there yesterday, it's quite something when they are insulting each other:

This is just wild, I can't believe what I've seen.
Crowds protesting against lesbians, a fair number of those lesbians older, and in no way any threat to anyone. Meeting for kinship and to discuss the crazy homophobic world, looking out the window to see...yes, that homophobic world screaming down their collective lugholes.
And the crowd, some of which may seriously believe that these women are a clear and present danger to them, their family, their friends, the world, but more just misogynist and lesbophobic thugs out to lord it over women.
This in itself is beyond the bounds of credulity, thinking that some women are plotting your extermination, if all those chants of NAZI! and FASCIST! are to be taken at face value. And that you, as a man, feel fully justified in making women fearful.
And then a Scottish YT blogger wanders on by totally randomly (love his "what's a Terf?" question lol), and within minutes is singled out by the motormouth with the megaphone, our new friend here just finding this hilarious.
Of course, all jokes have to be grounded in reality to be truly funny, except on this occasion, the reality is very unfunny indeed as the police are shown in no uncertain terms to be toothless, useless and it seems captured by this ideology (thanks Tory government of 12 years, yes, 12, for allowing Stonewall full rein within British policing), so that our inadvertent visitor to Planet Crazy is the one who becomes the perp.
You... could...not...make...this...up.

👏👏👏👏👏

mach2 · 27/03/2023 21:51

And I found him arrogant towards the police inspector at the end.

I noticed that they were mostly unfailingly polite to him and did recover his phone for him. He was right that their policing of the crowd was poor and I think the cop that advised him not to aggravate things looked a bit scared. However, they remained polite with him despite what I can only call his goading.

I hope he turns his talents to covering demos rather than going to cop shops to wind them up.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 27/03/2023 21:52

Maybe it's my female socialisation, but my reaction to someone vaguely shouting insults would NOT be to shout back; I'd think it safer not to engage; not to rile them up or draw their attention.

I think it is a bit, yes, which is why men are much more likely to get into fights with random men in pubs etc. I know plenty of men, particularly my family who are working class) who would react similarly.
