Made by a YouTube auditor who had no idea what the protest was about and was shocked by the protesters and police.
Think he has just peaked a few thousand more people ( read the comments!)

Long time since I read stuff on Fascism , @FlirtsWithRhinos . But I do know the Italian fascists believed in the state. The Corporate State as they called it. It would take precedence over private companies and individuals.

But , unlike the Nazis , they didn't obsess about racial purity. The name comes from 'fasces' - an axe enclosed in a bundle of wooden rods which was a Roman symbol of authority.

Having said that...no doubt many Italian fascists were racist and Antisemitic. And sexist of course.

OMG! I've just noticed, all the TRAs are obscuring their faces with those embarrassingly bad home-made banners out of cardboard. So not only are they masked up, but they also are totally hidden from view.
The creepiest smallest people making the biggest noise and maximum inconvenience.
A few things I'll take away from this ongoing debacle is...
Nazis insult applied to the very people who the real Nazis had no hesitation in exterminating.
Being on the right side of history while covering up your identity.

I've just got this image in my head now, of all future TRA protests being accompanied by 'Let it Go'...

*wonders how much terfs would need to crowd fund to make this a reality.

I saw this referred to two corners of the internet colliding. I don't think women's rights are a corner of the internet, but it is fascinating to see someone completely unaware of the issues stumble upon this (especially as his interest seems to be holding police accountable).

The fake friendliness and reasonableness from the initial activists is slightly terrifying.

This video does sum up their tactics though.

Be all sparkly and friendly and make a request.

If that doesn't work yell and shout abuse: its always fascist/Nazi.

If that doesn't work use violence.

The police stand back inactive the whole time petrified to apply the law to these activists.

What would have happened if the Scottish guy had knocked a phone out of a TRA’s hand, I wonder? Would the police still have done nothing?

So the guy waffling on about Italy did actually have a point.
Mussolini was a journo apparently, and quite keen on ressurecting The Roman Empire.
Like Hitler wanted lebensraum with his Das Dritte Reich.
They wanted a strong, nationalistic state, and the nazional socialismus threw in a vile hatred for homosexuals, jews, roma, autistics, any kind of physical handicap and the entire slavic population to the east of them.

You can hear the surprise in the guys voice when they call him a fascist.

I have to say, I am slightly sceptical of his claim that he just happened to stumble across the “protest”, I think he knew it was happening and sought it out. However, it seems clear that it did not go the way he thought it would.

I hope that if he does attend other events such as Let Women Speak then he doesn’t become a target himself. Having a neutral party take an interest in how events like these are conducted and policed is invaluable, and can and should form part of the public record.

Sorry due to ongoing internet problems haven't had time to read all this thread (also has been discussed on other threads) but in response to What's with the tactical chatters

This is part of a known tactic used by some left / alternative groups where they are aware people might re-act to what they see visually and then try to engage them with nice reasonable behaviour.

I loved how his response at one point was "Dont patronise me" (suspect that was a much to do with the English accent)>

But again these are taught tactics as is the one to make it appear a street party, and the use of blocking filming re placards etc.. Wearing masks.

What this hints at (have to admit copied from a facebook discussion) is that parts of the left have either infiltrated the TRAs or the other way round.

But may also explain why they so often resort of screaming Nazi or Fascists.

It is the same schoolboy male student performance politics, and making sure you are identified as being on the right (ie left) side of politics.

So much as some women's group like to claim that gender critical feminists have opened the door to right wingers, what is clear is that the TRAs have opened the door to some extreme left groups (eg defund the police).

And yes, it is sad but true, too many young women, out in the world on their own for the first time at university, thing these loud mouth male lefties are to be admired and followed.

I wonder now if there are factions within the TRA movement. This "protest" seemed to lack the drag act section of the anti women, in this case, lesbian LGBTQI+ community.

(Yes loved the bit at the end when fellow Scots had a brief exchange. That one encounter - apart from the comments under the video - probably confirmed for him who was on the right side of history!)

The kids banners were all pro trans prisoners.

Given their beliefs in male lesbians we know what that means.

They are being led by the ex con in this protest.

I recognise that 'benign diversion' tactic from many scenarios. It's a familiar mo of misogynist 'skeptics' - keep politely analysing language, repeat the same questions and digress all over the place until your opponent is too frustrated to continue. There's a German saying "If you can't convince, confuse."

I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet I will mention class. The TRAs are of the ruling class and that is why the police protect them. They know all those protesters (mostly white, well-spoken, students) are well-connected or have parents who have deep pockets for solicitors or they will one day be their employers.

Who were all the people in hi-vis writing notes?
