Sorry if there's already a thread - apparently this nightmarish-sounding company offering a hellish-sounding job don't want the likes of FWR posters to apply. Also they don't seem to understand discrimination law.

OMG, this job was absolutely made for me!! My rising sign is Ophiuchus, which doesn't even officially exist to most bigots, so I am VERY MUCH not like the other "girls"!!

I am so gonna sue if she discriminates against me for being a turf. 🙄

Also, I self-ID as earning $200,000 US a month - sorry, I don't take £; unstable exchange rate - and I only work 3 hours a month, soooooo there's a teensy weensy adjustment needed to the contract, Maisie - there's a dear!

My rising sun is 'OhFuckoffus', what a coincidence!

There’s also a real problem with this being a ‘contractor’ position (I.e. we’ll offer no security or pay any benefits/requirements because you’re self employed) and this bit in the ‘not the job for you’ section:

‘Want to be an entrepreneur and run your own business. Our team members are “intrapreneurs.” You’ll have the freedom and flexibility to love what you do and be the best at your role, but if you want to run your own company in the near future - we are not for you.‘

speaks volumes about what a terrible employee Maisie intends to be.

My first thought is that it sounds more like an employee role rather than self employed, trying to tax dodge and not pay holidays

It absolutely is.

Because the as explicitly says it’s not the job if you want to run your own business.

I delved into her website as I was bored and she has podcasts. The only person she appears to have interviewed though is her bloke. The transcript is an illuminating insight into her world.

Basically a lot of

‘So, tell me what it is you think is so incredibly interesting, unique and wonderful about ME?’

’Thats fascinating. So, how would you say that relates to ME?’

’I’m an empath and a healer. I love to help other people. That’s just so ME, y’know?’

SerafinasGoose · 19/03/2023 16:00

The list of desirable attributes is quite something. Aside from the embarrassing injunction that this unfortunate post-holder will 'love' being bombarded with impromptu voice mail requests, I nearly cracked my sides over this little gem:

You can execute at a high level without being micromanaged.

Who's she hoping to recruit? The next Albert Pierrepoint?

Saucery · 19/03/2023 16:04

Haha, yes!

Sorry, that should have been attached to the post about Jez becoming a Life Coach.

The last one left to strike out on her own!

God that instagram is unintentionally hilarious. “The universe is delivering!” They sound like a cult 🤣

I have Maisie's book.

It is part extremely helpful and for that I'm so grateful to my friend who gave it to me. But it is interspersed with desperate appeasement to our trans overlords and also .... Well, if I was going to be faux progressive about it I'd say it steers dangerously into cultural appropriation territory. Surprised Maisie hasn't been cancelled over it.
