Sorry if there's already a thread - apparently this nightmarish-sounding company offering a hellish-sounding job don't want the likes of FWR posters to apply. Also they don't seem to understand discrimination law.

For instance, I’m day 10 in my cycle, I've got Oestrogen about to peak, I'm pre-ovulation, I'm feeling great - this has been a great day for public speaking! But that doesn't mean that if you got in contact with me and asked me to come in on day 20, when I like peace and quiet and I'd rather be at home on the sofa, that I wouldn't have been able to do it.

I so want to try this BS on my manager, and see how far I can push it. 😅😅😅😅

dudsville · 19/03/2023 03:55

I mean, we could just flood her inbox with applications she has to at least waste her time reading to decline...

Morph22010 · 19/03/2023 04:57

My first thought is that it sounds more like an employee role rather than self employed, trying to tax dodge and not pay holidays

SidewaysOtter · 19/03/2023 07:18

From her Instagram: “I use a brain-meets-body approach”.

As for voice notes from this halfwit, fuck that. Could you imagine your phone pinging at some ungodly hour, only to find a voice note wittering on about how your oestrogen is peaking? <shudders>

guinnessguzzler · 19/03/2023 07:31

I think Maisie and Beks are actually the same person, just working shifts around each other / themself. Hence the saying 'Same shit, different day'. A bit like Pip Bunce.

whatwasIgoingtosay · 19/03/2023 07:58

From her website: I’ve given thousands of treatments, been a doula to hundreds of women and their loved ones, and mentored dozens of other practitioners and doulas as they started their careers.
My qualifications include:
BSc Chinese Medicine Acupuncture which included a semester in the neurology department of a Chinese hospital.
Diplomas in Life Coaching, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Massage, and the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy (ATMAT).
Post-graduate diploma in Paediatric Acupuncture.
So, she doesn't have a single qualification in nursing or midwifery, but has been a doula to hundreds of women? What overweening self-belief she must have! And what a dangerous, self-deluded person.

guinnessguzzler · 19/03/2023 08:02

And more to the point, how on earth can you have been a doula to hundreds of women and not know wtf a woman is?!

ApocalipstickNow · 19/03/2023 08:23

What if you don’t identify with your rising sign? I can get very complicated when you bring various astrological identities into things.

I mean, I absolutely do NOT identify with my Chinese Zodiac sign- that’s not my personality at all- does that change my age?

maybe if I figure it all out I can Life Coach about it for a handsome wodge of cash🤔

I spend a lot of time talking to women about their periods. Missed ones, heavy ones, painful ones and ones that happen after the menopause. And I am qualified to know whether there’s a problem or not.

Clearly missed a trick in charging £20,000 for it though….

This is absolutely mind-boggling🤯
Who on earth would contemplate spending £20,000 on talking about periods?

DerekFaker · 19/03/2023 08:42

Somebodiesmother · 18/03/2023 18:01

Maisie is so very obviously one of those women who talk a good game about mindfulness and kindness but who are actually a seething ball of passive aggressive rage just under the surface.

She's Amanda from Motherland.

Pish and Beks!

😆

C8H10N4O2 · 19/03/2023 09:42

If this is the same pound shop Paltrow that one of my juniors came across she also isn't too keen on paying women to at her events because "for women" and presents as a fertility specialist with no medical, gynae, fertility or psychology qualifications.

Women's fertility is a very rich seam for snake oil sellers. "naturopathic nutrition" is currently very fashionable for fertility.

Jaxhog · 18/03/2023 21:49

Having to do Maisie's 'personal admin' would put me off!

Indeed. My mind immediately went to having to wash out her period pants after use.

nothingcomestonothing · 19/03/2023 09:45

pound shop Paltrow 😂

I'm so shocked by the £20k for six months of weekly sessions ie 24 sessions.

Tbf if you delve into it Maisie isn't actually doing any of this 1-2-1 work - wonder why?

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 19/03/2023 09:55

Anyone who gives this woman any of their money needs an intervention

I'm not a Tattle user, but there is a short thread there about her. Am I right in thinking we aren't allowed to link to that site? Someone mentions seeing a job ad she put up back in summer 2021:

I saw a job listing she posted to work on her team and was really shocked and quite appalled by some of the language used and it was almost so ✨ openminded✨ that it came full circle and was quite toxic. Basically saying that to work for her you can never complain.

Redebs · 19/03/2023 09:56

Somebodiesmother · 18/03/2023 17:58

Maisie can sort her own bloody personal life out!

I see what you did there 😄

I'm sure there are excellent life coaches, but I've known several head in that direction in the belief that charging a lot while talking bollocks very positively is a way to make a living.

The people I’ve known who have done life coaching courses to be one, and, god forbid went on to do it, are usually

  1. too young to have had any real experience of life
  2. lack emotional intelligence and self awareness
  3. have struggled in their own life with job performance or long term relationships. So they have done a course themselves to help with this. And then thought they know it all well enough to teach other people. Even without having proved they’ve learnt something for it and applied it. A sort of MLM pyramid by any other name
  4. never ever have a qualification from a respected institute in “life coaching”. Because they don’t exist, good life coaches don’t call themselves that, or claim to coach someone’s life. A trained therapist, counsellor or psychologist will give you a chance to be more self aware and provide tools to help you with your own life choice

it’s sheer poppycock and a vanity project

every single one of them never created a viable business. It lasted 6 months to a maximum of 2 years, then they had to go and get a real job to support themselves.

On the plus side she's getting the red flags put early in the recruitment process so those with a warning radar can be aware

Wish my toxic, narcissistic boss had done the same when I applied for a job

guinnessguzzler · 19/03/2023 11:20

Remember when Jez became a life coach on Peep Show? Pretty much sums it up.

What does that even mean? My brain IS apart of my body…unless I haven’t been bringing my whole self and I’ve accidentally left it somewhere else?

The psuedo-medical tripe is the stuff of quacks.

It's age old.

What gets me is the number of idiots that fully buy into this utter codswallop!

Perhaps you left behind when you failed to "bring all of yourself to work" ?
