Tweets to KitchenAidUSA are very critical. Did any of you know this - I ask because Kitchen Aid in general is popular among Mumsnetters.

I'm a long time lurker and this is my first post on this board.
I'm pretty upset.

This probably deserves its own thread, I've not seen this mentioned elsewhere. Dylan threw Dylanself a musical gala celebration to mark 365 days of girlhood. It really is quite something.

Oh for fucks sake.

When Dylan started to sing, and give Dylan’s speech, I swear my eyes rolled so far back I caught a glimpse of my brain, which then decided to hide.

That is just…..so self indulgent and “look at me, look at me!!”

If Dylan’s only wish was to be happy and healthy, what’s with all the stuff Dylan feels Dylan has to do?

I've been a girl/woman for 14000ish days. Where my Gala? I promise I won't sing.

Anyone ever wonder what DM was like pre-transition?

Wonder no more...

And a bit further down there is a bloke who explains why trans-racialism IS possible vs trans-sexualism which is not.
He explains it very well, and even if I don’t care anymore if I’m called racist, this bloke has Dark skin.

I think I love him. He was so calm and factual about it.
That’s all it takes for my undying live in this day and age. Quite easy to please really.

Take note, Dylan 👍🏽

Yeah, you sound more Argos than John Lewis.

Funnily enough, guess who sells KitchenAid ….

Harsh and very rude! Do you have shares in JL or something?! Unnecessarily nasty reply!

@Florissant " Common. Yes, definitely. "
Who the hell do you think you are to be so judgemental?! You don't know me, you know nothing about me, though i do now have some measure of the sort of person you are and it's not nice!

@sorrynotathome " Nothing like a bit of good old-fashioned inverted snobbery! FYI John Lewis' strapline used to be "Never Knowingly Undersold", which I'll translate for you - "we are cheaper than anyone else". "

It can be as cheap as it likes, if you don't have one anywhere near where you live, it doesn't make a difference, does it?! And no, before you try to be a clever sod, i prefer not to just buy electricals on-line! Also, I am entitled to have my thoughts about how i " imagine " a store might be, without middle class menopausal women white knighting for a supermarket!
As for snobbery, look at your own post and see the snobbery that's oozing from that - it's not my attitude that needs adjusting!

I've got a Cox's Orange Pippin, if that's any good?

Never got their outlandish prices anyway - must be the snob factor. Bosch is so much better value.

I was about to mention Bosch, mine is fantastic, it whips cream in seconds, mixes, chops, everything you need.

I could stamp my feet and cry and whinge that it's not what I asked for, like the stereotypical 'girl'

OR

I could be kind and say thank you very much even though its not what I wanted like society says I should.

Decisions Decisions...

RoobarbandCustud · 19/03/2023 11:38

My Grandma's Kenwood did 40 years service until she dropped it. Mine has done 20 years of slicing, grating, mincing, ice cream making, whipping, beating, blending and still feels like new. Powerful workhorse motors.

LadyEloise1 · 19/03/2023 16:59

My Mum's Kenwood is 37 years old and is still going strong.

Oh my gosh, thanks for the link op. That’s utterly yik.
i like the comments about mixers!

StoneWallandRoses · 02/05/2023 21:17

Dylan Mulvaney was recently a brand ambassador to Bud Light Beer. His promo 'ad' was again insulting and offensive with the ridiculous female stereotypes. Anyway, once that was released many many Americans had had enough and boycotted the beer company and it was reported they lost millions (perhaps billions, I can't recall) in lost shares value. There's much talk and posts on Instagram on this. Bud value absolutely tanked and still not recovered.
Dylan also was the face of CeraVe, TAMPAX!!?!, Kate Spade, Oil of Olay and more. It beggers belief.

There has been somewhat of a strong push back in the States over trans women in female spaces, scholarships, sports etc. Some states have passed new bills making drag shows to minors in public spaces illegal, bathrooms/restrooms are strictly only for women in some states, and similar laws and bills made in other states made after recognising (finally) the absurdity and danger with this issue.

Riley Gaines has been phenomenal in her fight to save women's sports and spaces. How she's been treated whilst doing so has been abhorrent.

<fetches tiny violin>

I do feel sorry for the other companies affected, though. Hopefully this will be a Ratner-style lesson for company marketing departments to learn from to stop it happening again.

HorribleNecktie · 04/05/2023 12:30

The Bud Light partnership is going to go down in history as one of the biggest marketing disasters of all time. I guarantee it will be taught on training courses in the future as an abject lesson in how not to use influencers.

StoneWallandRoses · 04/05/2023 21:39

Alongside the disaster of the Bud campaign, Nike has had it in the neck for using Dylan as the face of their sportsBRAS..!?!
Big backlash as you can imagine from the public and prominent public figures. You should see Dylan's ad for the clothing...what you witness is 'clearly, very much so' how us women behave and move when we err, exercise..
One woman said in the comments that as a large chested woman she often has experienced actual tears and very real frustration in the fitting rooms during lingerie shopping for sportswear (bras) that can actually fit her and support her. More often than not, her efforts are wasted and she makes do with the best of the worst for a supportive and comfortable sports bra. What a flat chested, waif like man with no experience of that department has over real women surpassing them to be the PAID face of women's wear is utterly rage inducing. I agree. I am FED UP of seeing this crap.

Whats interesting about the Bud Light thing is that someone seems to be propping them up and inflating the share price, the sales reports are terrible but the stock isn't suffering any more its completely rebounded https://www.marketwatch.com/investing/stock/bud

Any other company with this kind of sales report would have seen a massive stock drop the stock is $10 or so higher than it was this time last year when sales of their most popular product Bud Light were 21% more. Someone with big pockets is involved in this.

"During the week ended April 22 — the most recent industry data available — Bud Light sales plunged 21% vs. a year ago, accelerating from a 17% slide a week earlier and an initial weekly drop of 6% when the controversy kicked off during the first week of April, according to Nielsen IQ and Bump Williams Consulting.
Meanwhile, beer volumes — the number of cases sold, whether in packs of 12, 18 or 24 cans — dropped an even steeper 26% last week, versus a 21% drop a week earlier and an initial drop of 11%, according to the data.
That’s an indication that Bud Light’s core customers — who typically buy their beer in bulk — are ditching the brand, beverage expert Bump Williams said in a Tuesday interview." https://nypost.com/2023/05/02/bud-light-sales-plummet-21-in-wake-of-dylan-mulvaney-fiasco/

Bud Light sales drop 21% in wake of Dylan Mulvaney fiasco: ‘Serious trouble’

Beleaguered brand has been shunned by consumers angry over the marketing deal with transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

I've seen claims that the tras and some of the lgbtq+ are also condemning AB for not supporting Mulvaney. Mulvaney should hang onto those personalised cans, they literally cost billions.

HorribleNecktie · 06/05/2023 10:06

The cans should go into a museum.
