Ignoring the derailer, the simplest way for the judicial system to cope with where to confine an enbie within a binary prison system, is to confine them in the prison for others of their sex. The alternative - which I expect will happen - is to avoid the issue entirely by suspending the sentence.

Called it.

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 19/04/2023 02:14

An update from the Minneapolis case.

I can't quite make it out but it seems like a nice, easy diversionary programme, a brief apology to his victim, they've requested he returns the stolen goods to the victim (what happens if he no longer has them, or claims not to? 🙄🤢 Who would even want them back after that) and a measly 3 days' community service.

Clearly they don't feel like imposing a jail term or a substantial fine but surely 3 days' community service is an insult.

It being the US I'm wondering if the victims will sue him in a civil case (would they win?)

OnlyTheWeedsGrow · 19/04/2023 06:35

He has been wearing the clothes, some of them were altered, all of them are now tainted because of his association with them - what purpose does returning them fill? Except, I suppose, the added insult of him knowing he has worn them and basically gotten away with it….

DarkDayforMN · 19/04/2023 21:43

RETURNING THE CLOTHES!

Returning the clothes is likely to be rewarding for him.

Like those men with very similar fetish-driven behaviour who take underwear from M&S, “use” it in the changing rooms and put it back on the shelves.

You have to wonder about that judge.

DarkDayforMN · 19/04/2023 21:47

And why does the victim have to be insulted by the return of the clothes and the “apology?” Did anyone ask her if she wanted it?

That’s forced interaction with that repugnant man. I would want nothing to do with him.

ArabellaScott · 19/04/2023 21:53

NO THE FUCK THANK yoU DOES ANYOnE WANT THOSE CLOTHES BACK

Precisely.

No victim wants those clothes back. If it were me, I'd want to know he had a punishment that would deter future crimes.

BabyStopCryin · 20/04/2023 07:21

I assume he will go back to his job (that he is still getting paid for)?

twitterexile · 15/02/2023 21:32

What a very...male...post that is. Yeuch.

Exactly what I was going to say!

if it talks like a man then it probably is a man.

Happylittlechicken · 20/04/2023 08:35

Sam looking very er… manly in his court appearance. Notice no fabulous clothes or make up 🙃🙃.

bellinisurge · 20/04/2023 09:14

Returning the clothes is another little moment for his w@nkbank. The judge clearly doesn't know how fetishists work.

NecessaryScene · 16/02/2023 09:22

Sam Brinton's "non-binary" status is ONLY of interest to us here because he and some others claim that his "non-binary" somehow trumps the fact he's male.

If non-binary men weren't pretending not to be male, or claiming that they didn't have exactly the same behaviour patterns as men, or trying to bypass normal sex-based protocols there would be no beef.

But as long as non-binary men are pretending they're different from men, we have to keep pointing out that they're not. Including highlighting cases like this of a non-binary man carrying out a male-typical offence against women.

There is no need to highlight other groups of men, as they're not claiming their labels exempt them from being treated as men.

Exactly.

ArabellaScott · 18/05/2023 22:58

Not quite sure what that means? Has he gone on the run?

OP posts:
EsmaCannonball · 18/05/2023 23:13

I've seen this on Twitter but it's really unclear why he's been arrested. Has he been stealing more clothes? Are there new charges relating to old thefts? (E.g. from the designer cited previously on this thread.) Is it something to do with the conditions of his suspended sentence?

Apparently he has managed to find another highly paid job. Not like the women whose careers are destroyed for having the opinion that sex is real and politically salient.

OnlyTheWeedsGrow · 18/05/2023 23:13

Certainly a different tone in the article…. Described as a “non-binary drag-queen”, facing minimum of 1 year jail due to another bag theft in a different state. ☀️☀️☀️☀️

EsmaCannonball · 18/05/2023 23:20

Ok, I now see that this is probably related to the theft of the designer's clothes, as the charges are from a theft from Reagan International Airport. Fancy stealing distinctive clothing and being as brazen as to wear it in publicity shots. Can hardly claim he didn't steal women's clothes for the thrill of wearing them now, can he?

Pixiedust1234 · 18/05/2023 23:32

Brinton was given plea deals in both cases which did not involve jail time.
Now, they are facing a minimum of one year in prison, but up to 20, under Virginia law.

I wonder if he will, or can, do another plea deal. Twenty years though 😮

BluebellBlueballs · 19/05/2023 08:03

Stealerthem?

I propose 'thief'.

Thief, thiefs, thiefself.

Starts with 'th'. Will be fine

OldGardinia · 19/05/2023 08:42

ElonsMusky · 15/02/2023 21:06

it's an irrelevant detail that you include only to create a link between criminality and gender diverse people. It's kind of pathetic.

If the crime is stealing a wallet, then maybe. But the crime is stealing a woman's clothes for sexual gratification so yeah, there's your link between the crime and his gender identity woo woo.

Also, he appears to have just been arrested and is now in jail without possibility of bail. Led out of his house in handcuffs, apparently. That they'd deny bail is unusual and makes me wonder what is going down. Though it could just be because of embarrassment he has caused to the Biden administration as he was one of Biden's hand-picked.

DerekFaker · 19/05/2023 07:10

Are they taking the piss?

"It is unclear if the Montgomery County facility has accommodations for non-binary inmates, or if Brinton will have to reside in the male section for 26 days until the extradition"

https://nypost.com/2023/05/18/sam-brinton-charge-stems-from-designers-missing-clothing/

I was just about to ask where they will house they.

OP posts:
zibzibara · 19/05/2023 09:01

His plea deal in the previous cases included a 180-day suspended jail sentence. So he'll almost certainly be going down if convicted for these thefts of Asya Khamsin's clothes.
