probably to wear them.

Your jump to the idea he is only wearing them is conjecture and speculation. It's immature and stupid.

MoirasSaggyBundles · 25/02/2023 09:59

Don't know if this has been posted already - this reporter got an interview with Asda Khamsim. She says there was CCTV footage of her bag on the luggage carousel at Reagan Washington DC airport, but then it disappears. I can't imagine it will be that hard to check whether Brinton was passing through the airport at the same time.

That clip is giving me the rage!

Asya is so talented and like so many creatives is putting way more of herself into her work than she gets out in terms of financial success or fame.

And then there’s Sam, her total opposite, who got a high profile diversity hire job and shat the bed, working at the Office of Nuclear Energy for only around 3 months, getting a massive media profile from it…Literally stealing Asha’s work and parading about in it.

Just read this article and Asya donates much of her show proceeds to humanitarian projects. She should start a crowdfund for some of her favourite charities while the media is shining on her, I would definitely donate. Get something worthwhile from this horrible event.

He was in Vanity Fair in her design!

I have THE RAGE!

(I think this one particularly gets on my tits as the international arts and fashion scenes are dominated by poshos and nepo kids and there are loads of talented working class & immigrant creatives who spend their whole lives making amazing things without much notice or recognition beyond their niche and then a nonbinary dickhead puts on a bit of lippy and hey presto! gets a Vanity Fair spread)

Did we ever find out the third sex, or did the poster do a bunk?

The latter. I've seen that happen multiple times: a poster makes an unsustainable claim and then either never provides evidence that holds up to critical evaluation or relies on the inevitable "educate yourselves" excuse or "I'm not going to do your research for you".

Extraordinary claims need extraordinary evidence.

MoirasSaggyBundles · 25/02/2023 12:11

Well here's the thing. Women of colour need to have a good look at how the TRAs have appropriated their struggle, their voice, their history, in order to lend credence to the spurious claims of oppression made by a load of white men. And stop bloody supporting them.

That's the whole point of intersectionallity. You find a single point of oppression that applies to you in the big book of oppression, and now you get to claim all the oppressions.
That why GC women get called far right white sumpremacists. One you get one item you get them all.

If Brinton is convicted of felony theft, Brinton might find it difficult to obtain a US passport. (The information I have found on this topic is contradictory.)

That said, what is certain is that Brinton will find it difficult, if not impossible, to enter certain countries, such as Canada and the UK as they deny visas to convicted felons.

Florissant · 26/02/2023 20:07

Sam, it's a suitcase not a lootcase.

"fOr sExUaL gRaTiFiCatiOn" funny how you just know what they were up to. GC brain rot is out of control.

Well it wasn't because he needed the money was it!

Would you post a thread titled Bisexual John Smith in court soon? If not, why is this thread acceptable?

If the bisexual person in question were accused of something relevant to the bisexuality . Yes.

This non binary persons non binaryness, appears to manifest itself mainly in the womanly wearing of womanly clothes. He's just half inched some poor woman's undercrackers.

Ergo, relevant and acceptable

If you were talking about a shoe thief, their foot fetish would be very relevant.

Also sexuality is a stable sexual or romantic attraction towards a particular ( or both ) SEX and real.

Whereas gender is stereotypes and bollocks... I mean a social construct.

Justme56 · 16/02/2023 08:53

It looks like the LGBT organisations highlight Sam’s identity too.

Well that's bloomin' inconvenient for the squirrel police.

Baaaaaa · 26/02/2023 21:17

Creeptastic, but I did always rather admire thems beautiful outfits.

Could we start another Sam Brinton thread with those stolen designer outfits and the Nigerian designer who owns them front and centre?

Powerful stuff but a bit buried admidst the trolling posts.

DeanVolecapeAKAelderberry · 26/02/2023 21:22

The designer is Tanzanian.

Passport or not I bet you any amount of money you want at any odds you want that Sam still spends most of his non prison free time in airports..........

Florissant · 27/02/2023 06:55

My point is that not being able to enter certain countries will have a negative impact on any job prospects.

NotBadConsidering · 27/02/2023 07:44

Doesn’t having a felony conviction impact one’s ability to work for the US government?

So he would have to work in the private nuclear waste disposal sector.

Mermaids should employ him to bury the Jacob Breslow saga, boom tish!

Florissant · 28/02/2023 07:04

I would think so. And that it should have an impact on getting security clearance with a private firm, too.

Brinton's lawyer wanted Brinton's hearing to be held remotely, as Brinton is dealing with "employment issues", leading me to suspect that Brinton was sacked by the Biden administration and is in the process of suing them. If this is the case, in a (very small) way, I agree with Brinton as at that point Brinton had only been arrested and charged but not yet tried.

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 14/04/2023 10:31

Has anyone seen Brinton's sentence for the LA theft? No jail time (well, suspended 180 day sentence, any probation?) and ordered to pay the victim the value of what he stole.

It was charged as a misdemeanour despite the value being enough for a felony (please correct me, I'm not overly familiar with the US justice system).

The case in Minneapolis is ongoing as is the fashion designer's case which took place in Washington DC airport.

CryptoFascistMadameCholet · 14/04/2023 10:33

Sounds like he struck lucky.

maybe the next two will result in a slightly firmer slap on the wrists?

nauticant · 14/04/2023 10:47

A reasonably detailed report here:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11971069/Samuel-Brinton-ex-DOE-employee-sentenced-180-days-Las-Vegas-airport-luggage-theft-case.html

As you'll be able to see, the Las Vegas charge was the easiest to deal with. Things might be more difficult in Minneapolis, and Houston could be very diffiuclut for him indeed. It's uncertain whether the last will proceed, although it should.

DeanVolecapeAKAelderberry · 14/04/2023 11:26

Presumably charging it as a misdemeanour means he isn't at risk from any three strikes rule (nice to be white and well-connected)? otoh, he will be a repeat offender at any subsequent hearing.

NotBadConsidering · 14/04/2023 11:40

It would be good, now this court case is done, if the particular airport in question bars him using it. And then all the other airports too. I would hope if they are privately owned they can buy a restriction on who enters their facility because of anti-social behaviour.

Wouldn't it be glorious if every form of transport that takes luggage bans him? Trains, planes, buses, taxis, everything. Then he'd have to walk everywhere. I'd positively enjoy him wearing high heels then!

nauticant · 14/04/2023 12:30

I did wonder whether acknowledgement of Brinton's other offences would transfer across but states are different legal jurisdictions (at a state level) and would a misdemeanor be too minor to be considered?
