I've searched everywhere for a thread about this amazing and brave MP, but couldn't find one.

Am I missing something? She supports the blocking of the new Scottish GR Bill and was cheered by her own MPs.

She seems an amazing and strong woman, wish she was my MP. I'm going to write and thank her.

I don't get the free pass for Jess Phillips. There's also the fact she stands and read Ingala-Smith's list each year, yet Ingala-Smith still isn't allowed back in.

Oh, and yes, a friend who lives elsewhere in the UK had a CLP visitation from Jess Phillips. It was apparently all very fulsome and fabulous and Jess worked the room like the consummate pro she is and apparently there were more hints that women could relax and stop their protests because behind closed doors most Labour MPS were GC. My friend said she came home a bit pissed and full of hope, delighted to be reassured that with Labour she was in safe hands. The following day she woke up with the heart-sink feeling she'd been taken for a mug — and when she phoned someone else who'd been there too, to compare notes, they were also wondering what the game really was.

She's been doing similar for years. I have a signed book of hers where she exhorted me to "keep fighting", and another regular MNer does too. This was around 2016/17. But she has continued to disappoint.

I can't vote for a party where you have to guess what they might really have planned, despite what they say. And it sounds as if there's been an order sent round that everyone's to denounce Rosie Duffield and they are. It sickens me.

DD has been trying to convince me to vote Labour lately, and I was starting to waver (can't vote for any of them at the moment). But Lloyd Wossname and the others heckling like that - fucking shameful.

It's going to be a spoilt ballot at this rate.

Rosie, I wish you were my MP, so I could vote Labour again. Today’s so-called Labour Party is a travesty and a disgrace to the memory of Clem Attlee and so many genuine Labour supporters. Thanks for your courage and your integrity.

I agree with the Times. She's a good MP, appreciated by her constituents. Labour needs more like her. Instead it's made her life hell. I find it very difficult to forgive and it's damaged my trust in my own Labour MP.

Jess Philips stood up publically for female jewish MPs when they recieved horrific abuse and rightly so. The only reason I think she doesn't do this for Rosie Duffield is because it damages Starmer. She didn't care when Corbyn was damaged as she wanted him out. So, she'll stand up to the abuse of female MPs when it's politically convenient, she's disingenous and a disapointment.

Just flicking through the tv and found Rosie Duffield on TalkTV talking to Piers Morgan. It was very good. I believe it's repeated at 11pm if anyone wants to watch.

Just had a look for the Piers Morgan thing and found this, with Carolyn Harris (Labour):

It does seem like Rosie is - for all intents and purposes - isolated. Harris says: "Rosie says own thing, I hear another". Says she shouldn't be "throwing stones" at the Labour leadership. But no one will go on record and say actually yes or no, Rosie has or hasn't been offered even a meeting with Starmer.

And what exactly is the "support" she's been offered? Is it "support" of the type where you get "help" crafting your comms? Or any kind of "support" that comes with a whacking great subtext attached?

How does she stick it out?

Its disgusting. Not only that it is happening but that the media are egging it on but allowing all these Starmer right or wrong followers, air time to basically publicly bully a woman.

I love Rosie. Owen Jones actually blocked me for supporting her. She did me such a favour ! Politically I'm way to her left but that's irrelevant in this context.

Same goes for the TRAs ; they have support left and right. Mathew Doyle is a Blairite yet Aron Bastani of Novara Media came to his defence over this. How sweet - because they hate each usually.

I was quite surprised to see Tony Robinson (Baldrick / Time team) retweet Rosie. I had him pegged as a virtue sigalling labour-luvvie.

Perhaps a bloke who digs up bones for a hobby knows that human anatomy doesn't change because of painted fingernails and fake boobs.
