At some point after 2pm, in the Big Room (the Chamber).

www.parliament.scot/chamber-and-committees/whats-on-and-watch-live/whats-on#wm

Will be interesting to see how the Amendments go down, if they are all struck down as the ScotGov wishes - www.holyrood.com/news/view,gender-recognition-reform-crunch-vote-after-shona-robison-warns-msps-over-amendments

'the Scottish Conservatives have warned that the debate could lead to a "travesty of democracy" because a 15 minute time limit for each proposal will "shut down" discussion.'

Affirmation only, co morbidities, calling for a pause, asking for time to reflect on emerging evidence and consider reasons behind a large proportion of young women

OP posts:
ArabellaScott · 20/12/2022 15:49

Also saying that not getting a GRC will have little impact on most aspects of life, so no harm in delaying that for young people.

Basically turning the 'it's only an irrelevant bit of admin' on its head

Am I being thick, but does this mean someone could be legally female in Scotland but when they cross to England become legally male again as the English don't recognise it?

BlessedKali · 20/12/2022 16:01

It does my head in when people say 'speak to' not 'speak of'.

E.g 'Speak to ammendment 14'. How can you speak to it, it is not a being.

ArabellaScott · 20/12/2022 16:03

Emma Roddick suggests 'demedicalising' current process might suggest to young people they don't need to pursue a medical process ...

Is it just me or does the dude in the pink and blue look a bit embarrased/shifty

FusilliFettler · 20/12/2022 16:11

These are all completely sensible amendments. It’s shocking that they have not been considered at inception of the process and it’s even more shocking that most of them won’t get addressed.
