I can't see a thread on this, but she is starting a new party and will run in elections.

The naivety of thinking that only women who are left-wing are going to manage to fix this is astounding.

Can you point out where anyone on this thread has said this please?

WomaninBoots · 09/12/2022 08:49

It is like they don't even see that women other than left wing, mostly "woke" apart from being (mostly) GC even exist. They think most women really really care that KJK stood next to a racist once or something...

Most people do not give even one shade of shit about your purity spiral. Or set any store by the Big Scary Labels you're putting in KJK! They've had those labels slapped on them already anyway for holding what they see to be reasonable opinions. Because if everyone is a racist why worry that someone else is after all?

The left just cannot countenance how they've alienated so many people. Because they've written most of the world off as "bigots", eho aren't important and we dont want them to vote for us (and they didn't!). So the whole world is crawling with racists BUT ALSO KJK is going to be very unpopular because "she's a racist"... which is it?

If any of them took their heads out of their own arseholes for even one second they might see it.

theperfumes · 09/12/2022 08:56

The left just cannot countenance how they've alienated so many people.

The polls aren't reflective of that though.

WomaninBoots · 09/12/2022 08:59

Do you think politically alienated people are reflected well in polls? Plus you can probably get polls to say anything you damn well like.

xalo · 09/12/2022 09:07

Have the press picked this up yet?

I personally can't stand him, however there are many people in the world I can't stand. I still have had to have adult conversations with them and indeed, collaborate with them on certain things otherwise I'd never have got business done in the arena I worked in.

This.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 09/12/2022 09:29

I don't know much about Boyce but I did see one short clip where he was crowing about having platformed feminists loads and the contempt he had for women was palpable.

He's a dick. But he has a big platform.

Namochang · 09/12/2022 07:54

I knew that lots here don’t care about things like her working with them, my point was that you’re not the ones that need convincing. You’re already of the opinion that this is the biggest issue.
My point was that If the idea of this is to peak more women, then the connections with the GC movement and the far right movement are going to hinder it massively.
Lets be honest, most women who should be part of this fighting for women’s rights are avoiding it because they don’t want to be seen as a bigot and it’s not going to help if all the coverage comes out about her when she stands. It will overshadow. But that’s just my opinion.

I think that the subject matter will transcend left or right or floating. All political parties get smeared In the press. I dont see why the other party would be any different.
Pretty sure kjk knows this, she is not stupid after all. However once a fair chunk of the population hear her on men in so many womens spaces and kier trying to prevent that knowledge and unable to state what a woman is then she has won.

WomaninBoots · 09/12/2022 09:38

For most people "what? There are MALE SEX OFFENDERS in women's prisons and Kier is OK WITH THAT???" is going to very much trump "that lady once spoke to a racist" as something that sticks in the craw.

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 09/12/2022 09:43

The mischief she can make is going to be delicious

I’ll be donating, and I’m within striking distance of Holborn. I’d consider canvassing for her. I got out on the streets for the Fair Play For Women self ID campaign and I’m very happy to mobilise again

if it would be possible to raise her profile enough that Starmer is forced to acknowledge her or even engage, that would be….<chef’s kiss>

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 09/12/2022 09:45

On principle I generally think politicians should be made to look like dicks if the possibility arises

the fact that Starmer has adopted a position that means it should be quite easy to make him look like a dick is very much his problem (although also everyone who wants an effective opposition’s problem too sadly)

Big dicks do, don't they? Need big platforms?

MarshaBradyo · 09/12/2022 09:51

The video linked on here had her talking with a range of MPs quotes flashing up - presumably mostly Labour / left MPs

Very effective. She has a good vibe and is straight talking.

Onnabugeisha · 09/12/2022 09:59

I actually think most voters do care about KJK aligning herself with alt-right activists and having clandestine meet-ups with far right figures. These self professed MRAs have said various racist and homophobic things that would cause most decent people to go NC if a family member had said them. But KJK is unfazed and happily sits down to record hours of lively and friendly conversations with them where they flirt with each other.

The far right is full of young sexy barbies and middle aged handmaids- you can say oh KJK is using them, but when she comes out and posts that keeping TW out of womens toilets is such an emergency that she is willing to sacrifice the legal right to an abortion, one has to wonder who is using whom? And how much of this is rubbing off on her?

And that’s just one example.

Kucingsparkles · 09/12/2022 10:02

This thread is fabulous evidence of just how much KJK winds up the Righteous 🍿

But that’s just my opinion.

No it isn't.

Your opinion is that she's gone from success to success, is incredibly popular and despite not being a vet, knows what a dog is.

And that most women who see her, do not avoid her, which is reeely bothering you.

That's why you keep talking to those very women.

If you were worried about her being 'tainted', you'd be talking to other women who were worried, who were on the fence, telling them that it's the content of her rallies that's important, not who decides to lifestream it without her knowledge.

But you're not. You're telling people who already support her, that she's wrong.

What you're saying is completely ineffective, even if you did believe it.

You're preaching to the choir that doesn't support you, so what's the point? Why aren't you talking to the agnostics???

most women who should be part of this fighting for women’s rights are avoiding it

So why the hell aren't you trying to reach them??

You need to reach those people.

Go and set up a thread AIBU, the busiest board on this site. That's where you need to be, who you need to reach, if what you say is true.

IcakethereforeIam · 09/12/2022 10:08

'Clandestine meet ups'?

OldCrone · 09/12/2022 10:13

For those who want to indulge in purity spirals shall we investigate how 'pure' Keir Starmer is? As leader of the Labour Party he presumably endorses everything which has been said by any current Labour MPs, particularly any members of his shadow cabinet. (I think that's how purity spirals work, but happy to be corrected if I've got the methodology wrong.)

For example, here is what Lisa Nandy has said. When she was asked whether a child rapist (who self-identifies as a woman) should be housed in a women's prison, she said: "I think trans women are women and they should be accommodated in a prison of their choosing."
twitter.com/ripx4nutmeg/status/1442783041395564549

By including Nandy in his shadow cabinet, Starmer has indirectly stated that he believes paedophiles should be sent to women's prisons if they self-identify as women. Some women's prisons have mother and baby units, so according to Nandy, and by association Starmer, paedophiles should be able to choose to go to prisons where there are young children.

To my knowledge, Starmer hasn't condemned Nandy for her comment or stated that he disagrees with her, so I think it is reasonable to assume that he endorses her comment.

The more people try to undermine with talk on meet ups etc the more I think she’s on to something and the media will use her well

and she them

IKR!

I can honestly say, that reading all this absolute drivel from TRAs really shows up their desperation.

Why are you TRAs so obsessed with toilets?

What's your opinion on keeping men out of women's prisons? Do you agree with the Labour Party that paedophiles should be allowed to choose to go to a prison with a mother and baby unit?

WarriorN · 09/12/2022 10:18

Sorry only vaguely following the thread.

I'm listening to KJKs latest on Boyce.

All this arguing over feminist right/ left wing is irrelevant.

Her main driving points are entirely about safeguarding women and in particular children.

And that last point is not a uniquely feminist issue. And I'd go as far as to say that it's nothing to do with feminism.

She makes clear distinctions between second wave feminism and third and what ever the fuck is going on now, which many, like Boyce and many others don't get. Second wavers always had issues with TW. Because second wavers are entirely about women's needs within society.

I do understand why there's concern from left wing feminists:

I have imagined conversations with friends I've not yet broached this with who think in very binary ways. Any hint of "taint" is therefore dismissed as right wing. I think they'd have debate, and one was swayed when I clarified some key points about something, but don't think it's that important.

The way American politics has this divided will influence views here. I see it now. It's only going to get worse.

However, this is not my personal view, only how I see the masses viewing it.

I'm personally annoyed though with women who leave the greens and labour on this issue as the only way to fight from within the left is to BE the resistance WITHIN. Helen Joyce made out recently that women in labour were allowing themselves to be abused by labour. I thoroughly disagree.

I do not understand why "left" and "right" leaning people can all agree that fgm based on religious aesthetics is horrific but disagree on the horror of mastectomies based on sexist aesthetics.

It's nothing to do with feminism.

And that's the issue, isn't it. The purity spiral. If men are women, you end up with a situation that the entire country would find utterly unacceptable.

So are they, or aren't they?

KJK is going to ask how much, exactly, are the Labour Party prepared to lie.

Never mind 'most' people not wanting to associate with the right wing, (tip, we have a right-wing government), most people aren't going to want a leader who admits he has to lie his arse off because he's frightened of transactivists.

OldCrone · 09/12/2022 10:17

You don't really hear about those things, do you? Prisons, sport, etc.

i've concluded that most transactivists couldn't care less about those things. Toilets is The Thing. Because that's the way they get their validation several times a day, anywhere, any time.

And for men who just like to intimidate women, they get to do that, several times a day, anywhere, any time. Likewise bullies, and predators.

It's a fix any man can get, across the country, any time day or night.
