In what appears to be a new producers anti women statement.

They made the denigration of jk rowling, the promotion of stone wall and complete pasting of the studio with the anti female trans heavy "pride" flag. A supposed response to the world cup being held in quatar a country that has significant human rights abuses and anti gay laws

I feel shaken by it. To see that flag and all it represents for lesbians in this country, for safeguarding and single sex spaces for women, being waved and draped over everyone was deeply sickening,

This program is no longer a friend to women or girls or gay people.

Can they really have not understood how terrible the optics and realities are?
Have they not understood what's just happened between mermaids and LGBA?

I felt the same and turned it off after they disparaged JKR. It made me realise that even when they talk about stability, it’s usually only disabled men that gets mentioned. It was lovely to see Rose Ellis on there but the Stonewall thing is a big red flag for me.
I barely watch any Channel 4 now. They’re the Guardian of terrestrial telly for me.

I no longer care if channel 4 is sold off now. They have been anti woman for some time. Do any of those presenters with their professed love of sport really think that it is fair that a man should play in women's sport? What do they think would happen in rugby league for instance? I didn't see the programme but the wording in the OP gave the impression that the flag shown was the 'progressive' pride flag and not the blue and pink Trans flag.

If that's the case, it's telling that you refer to it as the trans flag and ignore all the other groups supposedly represented on it.

It's shocking that they are so blase about the way women are routinely treated in Qatar and so blind to that the fact that 'you want trans people not to exist' is now being used as a propaganda statement to (try and) justify anti-women statement and actions.

JKR does not think men can become women and does not think that we should stop using the word woman to describe biological females. If you have a problem with her in that regard then you have a problem with women's rights and you are very much the problem.

Your post and supporters are upset that women would like equality of rights and for TQ+ politics to desist from oppressing and harming them.

I've found more and more that shows that I valued to give good insightful but lighthearted approaches to current events where I've respected evidenced opinions are just turning to pap. This is the first time they have just openly gone for it which is why it felt like such a betrayal.

Now the erosion of womens rights is happening in plain sights on men on the left, and hugEE profile in the media are at best embarassed and silent about it whilst able to rant about other injustices ( ones that happen to men and theregore are impirtant) .

I was quite disappointed to see Russell Howard and James Acaster get behind the tra lobby lately as well. It seems to be the new way of getting on the telly for someone to tell a handful of jokes then spend the rest of their set ranting about politics.

I count too. Also pretty sure I matter and I don't agree with anything JKR says. We are allowed to have different opinions and the presenters on Last Leg are allowed to have opinions too. If you don't like what they say, then don't bother watching next time. No need to get so dramatic.
