I'm so angry about this. I have just had an EDI session at work (mandatory) where the trainer had replaced one of the protected characteristics. Guess which one.

Would be good if Sex matters would do a recommended list of trainers that workplaces could use who don’t misrepresent the law.

I noticed a couple of days ago the was a petition for removing LGBT content from the relationship content in schools. I've just had a look and it's nearly at 100k, this must have happened very quickly. Parents are obviously concerned. I don't necessarily agree with it, I think it's an outcome of the false teaming of LGB with the T.

After the lag at the end of the week it's great to see the numbers picking up again for this petition.

As part of teaching gender identity ideology to children but under the radar, look at this resource poster about inclusivity called No Outsiders in the screen shot.

The poster is clearly showing the 9 protected characteristics from the Equality Act ( though it does not say this specifically). Except, as you say ‘guess what’ has happened to what should say ‘sec’.

Gender reassignment is placed very close to Gender where it should say sex.

The gender reassignment one shows the male and female symbols with reverse arrows.

The one called gender also has the male and female symbols.

This is clearly ‘marketing’ the idea to children in the school that gender and sex are the same, and male gender and female gender are swappable.

A poster on another thread has tried to confront her young child’s school about this, but was told it is not about the Equality Act it is just about inclusivity; and sex has been shown to mean gender in recent legal cases.

Thank you. Signed. I did not know about it. It is similar to the ‘gender identity’ one in a way. That took a long time to get going, really picked up a lot of speed recently reaching past 37,000 but not enough to reach 100,000 by the 18th. Still, together these petitions should show the government how concerned parents are.

Blown away by this, nearly at 120,000, only a few days ago it was at 11,000ish. I’m hoping today’s news will spur the other ones on too.

I am not happy about the 'LGBT' one. All the government needs to say in response is 'of course children need to learn about all sorts of different relationships'.

I am perfectly happy with my children being taught about lesbian and gay relationships so I won't sign that petition. But a large amount (hopefully) is parents bothered about gender identity and that petition will allow the government to completely ignore the 'T' teaching.

I agree as long as it is explained simply - because the no one thing to learn about imo at this age is love, respect, care, boundaries, responsibility whomever a person loves; but I think that you are right that people are signing not because of LGB but because of not wanting children confused by trans/identity queering the boundary theories. There was a thread a week or so ago linking a Twitter thread where a teacher had posted asking what people thought mattered most for children - there were so many answers almost unanimously saying stop promoting the gender identity idiocy.

The hope is that the gender identity petition which has reached nearly 4 x over 10,000 but won’t get near 100,000 will carry something of the general message across.

Wow, I went to look at this and the numbers are going up every few seconds.

It is to remove LGBT from the compulsory relationships curriculum in primary schools. I’m guessing these are parents from schools which go into far more detail than some children have two mummies or two daddies which in my opinion is as far as primary school relationships education needs to go on this, although at the upper end you might get questions about how it is physically possible for same sex couples to become parents so then discussing adoption, donor gametes, I wouldn’t like renting a woman’s body and buying a baby to be presented as an option though, that one is controversial and risks presenting women as breeding stock and human babies and consumer goods.
