It is bad news. Another thing most people won’t know, which I’ve just found out, is that doctors cannot know from medical records what sex someone is, because people can get a new NHS number and create a fictitious record of their sex.

It has never been more important to sign, given the Scottish have just dug in with a legal ruling that a man who says he is a woman legally has the sex of a woman.

From the Telegraph 13 December:

Biological men can legally become women and gain their legal protections, a Scottish judge has ruled, in a landmark case which raised new fears over the dangers of Nicola Sturgeon’s transgender reforms.

Lady Haldane on Wednesday confirmed that gender recognition certificates (GRCs) change a person’s sex in the eyes of UK equalities law, in a judgment issued just a week before MSPs vote on a system which would allow Scots to obtain the documents simply by signing a declaration.
