Good video from Kellie-Jay talking about what happens at the events, security etc. She also gives a warning at the end, which I've taken the trouble to transcribe for us here as I think it's important.
"I also want to warn you, each and every one of you, of any of your online interactions, or even in person interactions. You don’t really know who anyone is, whether they claim to have a really good story as to why they’re somewhere or whatever, so always protect your personal information, you know, even if you give your phone number out to someone, just be mindful that people aren’t who they say they are. Even if they create big Twitter platforms, or they have a really credible story, whether they claim to have transitioned, detransitioned, whether they claim to have been a victim of transactivism, whether they claim to have been a transactivist and they switched to a “TERF”.
Whatever their story is, you don’t know these people, and there are a lot of people who play a very long game in trying to get things from you that you wouldn’t otherwise give, so always be really super-mindful of whatever personal data, your address, whatever things you give out to people, because we don’t really know who anyone is. There are a lot of nasty individuals out there who aren’t quite what they say they are, so be careful of that."
I'm pretty sure I have an idea who she's referring to in some of these scenarios.
