I just love this woman! She undoubtedly has the Midas touch when it comes to marketing and publicity.

I have been to several of her events over the years, and she has time for each and every woman who comes to see her.

Any other fans here?

I find it hard to reconcile her public persona with how she posted on Mumsnet a long time ago. I'm absolutely not in the business of outing or doxxing her but something doesn't add up for me.

There are aspects of her campaign, mainly some of her dubious affiliates, that I just don't like even though I class myself as GC as anybody.

This is an appreciation thread for Posie so please keep it on that topic.

If you have a question for KJK, you can ask her on Facebook I believe. She's banned from here, so it's bad form to post accusations that she can't respond to.

I appreciate her most for refusing to collude in a lie.

landOFconfusion · 26/10/2022 07:51

Posie Parker has literally argued that giving up the right to access legal abortion in the USA would be a worthwhile sacrifice if it helps achieve her goals.

Like all extremists she is prepared to accept real and tangible harm as the product of her activism.

It rather reminds me of the unnamed US military official who told reporter Peter Arnett that it was necessary to destroy the village of Ben Tre in order to save it during the Vietnam war.

I have no appreciation for Posie Parker and her many ‘friends’. The only emotion she makes me feel is dismay.

divingworldchampion · 26/10/2022 07:57

I'm a huge fan and really admire her so much. Agree with all the sentiments here. I love the way she just cuts through the crap and speaks so clearly and articulately.

I’m a big fan too. She usually remains fairly classy when other women slag her off too, saying how much she respects them etc. I also appreciate her unequivocal no to men speaking for us. I thought the likes of DH being in the press a good thing initially but I no longer see him as an ally, partly down to KJK.

Struggling to think, DH? Any clues welcome!

Ah yes of course. Thanks inkjet

Why post on an appreciation thread then?

Start another if you feel the need to state that you have no appreciation.

It's a bit of an echo chamber if only appreciative comments are allowed, but if you must.

It's not the busiest thread I've ever seen, have to say.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 26/10/2022 13:47

It's not the busiest thread because many of us have seen how these threads get trolled by outsiders and derailed, and cause massive unhelpful bunfights, so I imagine people are giving it a swerve.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 26/10/2022 13:48

Speaking generally, not accusing anyone of trolling specifically on this thread.

There are already multiple threads that thoroughly critique KJK, sometimes entire other topics have become hijacked by KJK detractors!

The Mumsnet search function is much improved of late, much easier to find these things now.

to bring this thread back on topic - I appreciate KJK for repeatedly bringing the attention back to the children and teenagers who are growing up in this peculiar political climate, absorbing societal messages from multiple directions that chip away and self esteem and inflame the natural discomfort of puberty until it become self hatred and self harm.

One of my kids was transed by school without informing us, and the education unions and the left wing political parties are useless.

I went to see my Labour MP (who is former Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities AND former Shadow Secretary of State for Education and who personally knows my family well) and she made all the right noises to my face but refuses to say boo to a goose about any of it publicly.

KJK gives ordinary women strength to speak for themselves when our political representation fails us.

JoodyBlue · 26/10/2022 13:52

It takes many personalities to make a successful movement. Kellie Jay is essential to the fight for women's rights. Moreover she has given up a lot personally in order to offer her formidable personality to lead. I am dismayed by the vaguaries of those who would smear her. The oft heard "I'm not a fan" or recently I heard she comes from a place of "ignorance" or the old "dubious affiliates". None of these things are specific. Hence the word smearing seems appropriate. If you have a proper reason to dislike her then give it.

Absolutely
Personally found her a nause on here totally full of herself

ArabellaScott · 26/10/2022 13:56

KJK is fab.

Lottapianos · 26/10/2022 13:58

I'm a huge fan of hers. She's a brilliant communicator and explains the issues in plain English. I am in awe of her bravery and tenacity. I think it's a bloody shame that feminists like Julie Bindel and Sarah Ditum (who I also admire hugely) have been so critical of her

Terferama · 26/10/2022 14:07

Posie is amazing.
She’s our Winston Churchill.
And in case anyone here is very very young and/or stupid - yes, saving the free world is a good thing to do😜

Sausagenbacon · 26/10/2022 14:50

I think she's great. More power to her elbow.

ToGanymedeAndTitan · 26/10/2022 15:01

Winston Churchill 😂
Brilliant

YouSirNeighMmmm · 26/10/2022 15:36

I don't agree with everything she says nor the way she phrases things sometimes... but she is GREAT.

A simple message, based on truth and giving all women a voice. She, along with Magdalene Berns, are probably the two women who have most helped me get to where I am now.

Really? It was only started last night and it's been consistently top of FWR since then!

Even if I didn't agree with her, I would still admire her calm, classy and eloquent ability to put her point across.
I wish I had half as much courage of my convictions.
❤️

ToGanymedeAndTitan · 26/10/2022 16:06

Two pages in and nobody's mentioned how much they luffs her hair or her "ovaries of steel" yet.
Got to be a record 😁

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 26/10/2022 16:19

I do love quite how much she winds people up

and I enjoy the fact that she’s moved beyond giving a shit about it

Lottapianos · 26/10/2022 16:29

I do love her hair, and her nails, and how glam she is. She's my kind of woman
