Anyway I came across an interesting post, I won’t link it, I’ll just send telepathic womanly thoughts to you all as to what post and where you can find it……..Got it? Good.
Anyway my thoughts
It starts with being here was to understand us better, feels that’s been accomplished and will now move onto something more worthwhile. (Obviously we weren’t deemed worthy enough, oh the shame, how will we live with the shame?).
The writer inadvertently reveals that he assumes we should always centre men with his first bullet point. Yet he also reveals that he personally doesn’t even consider female to male presenting trans people in his thought processes at all.
He completely ignores the fact that as a group, (I apologise for assuming we have a hive mind, but he does so…) that we here always centre transmen, i.e. women, in our woman centring way of thought.
He thinks we should discount the one is too many idea we have because ‘scale’ and ‘moral panic’. So the man should get to decide what number women consider is an acceptable amount of women to be raped in a prison etc. Our obvious choice of none is not acceptable to the man. So we must change our requirements.
We lack grace and kindness. Why should they be qualities I want to aspire to? I’ve never wanted to be fucking graceful. And I’ve never subscribed to the whole be kind stuff so I’m sure as hell not about to start now just because some man on the internet doesn’t like my tone. If he doesn’t like my tone he can take himself off away from me. It’s not my job to make sure his needs and wants are met.
He acknowledges that people ‘shrieking’ at vulnerable minorities is always going to look nasty and fascist, yet directs that comment at us as the shriekers, rather than the fact that it’s actually been the men screaming in women’s faces, throwing things in women’s faces, stalking women, shouting slurs at women.
There is an ageist comment thrown in using disparaging language just to put us in our place that little bit more.
We are apparently not willing to engage in debate around safeguarding other than banning men from female spaces (he actually uses the words “all transgender people” again forgetting that we have no issue with the transmen as they are women).
A final insult throw of extremism is lobbed at us before he leaves hoping we’ve enjoyed and learnt from his posts!
Now of course this isn’t connected to this thread at all. It’s just about some random comment I found on the internet.
