Drag Queen Robert Clothier convicted (TW)

achillestoes · 14/08/2022 15:49

A drag queen named Robert Clothier (stage name Lady James) arranged a ‘liaison’ with a man and his two young children, for the purposes of a sexual encounter with the man and to assault/rape the children. It was a police sting. He has just been convicted and sentenced to 26 months in prison.

There is a difference of category between pantomime dames and modern ‘drag queens’. This isn’t theatre culture or acting; it’s a lifestyle, and a sexualised one.

I hope he serves every day of that time.

And why when people don’t like their ‘art’ are they called ‘bigots’ and not ‘philistines’? If it’s just art, rather than an expression of identity?

@achillestoes

It's considered good manners on this board to check news stories seen on SM are legitimate/recent before posting.

Oh give over 🙄

Philistine is too classy a word to describe people like yous.
Bigot fits perfectly.

Trying to think of a word (that's in the spirit of the site) to describe adults determined that very young children must be exposed to adult performers who dress as extreme parodies of women with often sexualised dress and behaviour 🙄

Are you still banging on about this? 😴

So what made you post here then?

It's clear you're not a habitual lurker in this forum, as otherwise you would never have gone for the "BuT tHeY rEaD tO kIDDiEs" point as if it would be news to us.

The insertion of drag queens in libraries (and on at least one occasion, in schools, including by a performer called Flow Job) is what we have an issue with. (And that would be an example of having it forced on us, as well.)

achillestoes · 15/08/2022 14:29

Hmm but an answer is still needed, @Alala2809. What is bigoted about not liking a particular art form as suitable for kids?

There’s something deeply wrong with anyone who posts videos of Andrew “I moved to Romania because it’s easier to get away with rape there” to the Feminism board with an endorsement.

I presume you think you’re funny or clever or something, but you’re just vile. As vile as Tate himself is, just less effective at it.

InTheMorningTime · 15/08/2022 14:55

I've never heard of him, but anyone who brings more people on board to fight this has to be a good thing.

I'm done with purity spirals.

I saw that a. Few weeks ago, Purgatory, and it is very worrying that he had access to children.
Brice Williams, a local drag queen who counseled LGBT youth in Harrisburg, has been charged with downloading photos and videos of child pornography two years ago, court documents said.

It is awful to think of the counselling that must be going on to young people by those who, at the very least, are not unqualified, at worst, as in this case, certainly
‘dodgy’. No doubt all judgement was suspended when he was given the role on the grounds of his Drag Queen status -considered so great for teaching diversity in this bigoted world.

There are purity-spirals and then there's letting MRAs and incels stab you in the back just because they're honest about which sex they want to rape and subjugate. Those who do not believe women are fully human and deserving of respect as human beings are one step away from finding they can mysteriously empathise more with the "new kind of women", who don't get all hysterical and who say sexual harassment is validating. And then they'll screw women over.

No thank you.

Thelnebriati · 15/08/2022 15:13

Objecting to links by Andrew Tate is not what 'purity spiral' means.

Posie's video "I Like Matt Walsh" last night was really good on this, she was saying that we don't have to agree on everything but these people should be supported because overall its the safety of children that is important.

DarkDayforMN · 15/08/2022 16:09

Being pro-rape doesn’t promote the safety of children.

We’re against sexual predators here. Hope that helps.

“I've been seeing a lot about Andrew Tate who like Matt Walsh, is very strong on these issues and very good at getting men on board with child protection.”

Hang on there, I had never heard of Andrew Tate before this either.

I watched that video Rhubarb67 linked. He seems to be a male supremacist
and unpleasant but he is very forcefully against drag queens for children, the subject of the thread. Certain men might well listen to him, like rhubarb said, because he comes over as macho. The sort who likesTrump etc.

Lots of people who are against DQST are objectionable for their other views, but on this one, sometimes they align.

After seeing what you wrote, I looked up his reasons for moving to Romania, one of which was not so as to be able to rape people, but purportedly to not be accused of rape if he hadn’t committed rape. Because he must be misogynistic that’s what he thinks Western women do. (He wouldn’t be accused of it here either if he hadn’t done it, or even probably if he had - as he could have seen from statistics if he had looked.) Another reason he gives is to be able to be corrupt and bribe people even when he is not in a position of power, unlike here where only the elite can be corrupt and bribe according to him. He is really a stupid nut case of the toxic male kind.

Maybe Rhubarb67 didn’t know about his reasons for moving to Romania anyway. Imo there was no malicious intent behind Rhubarb’s post.

thanks for sharing your thoughts. I disagree.

Entogal · 15/08/2022 16:15

Matt Walsh isn't pro-rape, he thinks that if a child is raped then it's best for them to have the subsequent child of that rape.

you don’t have to answer but I am curious whether you also think the subsequent posts mentioning Posie Parker and Matt Walsh are free of malice? And did you see them coming? Because I did, as soon as I read the Tate post.

I didn’t read them carefully; or see them coming. I don’t know anything about Matt Walsh, (except now I see from another post that he thinks girls and women who’ve been raped shouldn’t have abortions.)

I gather that Posie Parker is over the top and might be best steared clear of, but this is based on some comments I’ve seen about her from other people.

I don’t know if the posts about them that followed from Rhubarb’s were malicious/in bad faith as such.

Some people coming on her to comment about DQSH by adding Posie Parker and Matt Walsh may be more like the US far right groups in their views, but does that makes them intentionally malicious?

What I wanted to give Rhubarb the benefit of the doubt over was mentioning Andrew Tate here on purpose to be funny or clever in some jabbing way knowing it would be offensive.

I can't see this video, the last one was about Brighton and she's just finished a live stream.

DarkDayforMN · 15/08/2022 18:46

Ok. It was pretty obviously an attempt to bait or to get screenshots of people agreeing with the repulsive Tate.

And some of the baity/screenshot types are creepily obsessed with Posie (who is fucking great, you are misinformed!) and obsessed with the Bad Men Agree With You argument which frequently stars Matt Walsh (I don’t know why they don’t apply the same reasoning to the liturgy worth of rapists and pedophiles who are TRAs, but I suspect they think those are not actually bad men.)

So those follow up posts were fairly inevitable because the first post was clearly not sincere, and yes I saw them coming.
