I think there is so much to worry about with Ukraine, I wasn't expecting this statement from MI6 about freedoms.... I think a whole society is at risk yet there is more pontificate and point scoring which suggest a 'wall influence.

Isn’t it interesting what people chose to focus on. The Head of MI6 focuses on woke points over a gross violation of sovereignty and civil liberties. Hawkins focusses on policing women in a public space as in case we use unbecoming unfeminine language golly gosh! How dare we express annoyance at the grotesque self absorption of identity politics when we could be busying ourselves with being decorative (FOTTFSOFAWYGTFOSM - as MNetters like to say)
As for the Grand Dame of sea lions isn’t it funny how some perceptions of diversity don’t seem to address that sex is a protected characteristic and GG beliefs are protected. Meaning that a complex and challenging balancing act has to be undertaken as biological women have rights they wish to protect too. To spell it out - ignoring and dismissing the views of biological women and trying to impose another world view on them would be bigotry and oppression not diversity so I am sure we are all glad that you would never intend to do that and fully respect and support all our existing legal protections and our right not to be misgendered with terms like cis.
