I think there is so much to worry about with Ukraine, I wasn't expecting this statement from MI6 about freedoms.... I think a whole society is at risk yet there is more pontificate and point scoring which suggest a 'wall influence.

Completely tone deaf

and I'll hold my hands up, if i could of phrased my points better then my error.

Hawkins001 · 27/02/2022 13:07

And I was trying to encourage all mumsnetters, the key word being All Mumsnetters.

Movingonup22 · 27/02/2022 13:08

The bearded woke bro who they put I charge of his Twitter is not going to have a great Monday

Goatsaregreat · 27/02/2022 13:11

Back to the tone deaf message. Given the tragedy that we're seeing unfolding (and speaking as a member of the LGB community) it's bloody offensive to see this white man prioritising one group like this.
As suggested upthread, he's after the Stonewall points, not realising that his lack of concern for the citizens of Ukraine is very telling about his real priorities. It's yet another example of institutional capture.

terryleather · 27/02/2022 13:11

^I see we have a new teacher in town.
Fucking amazing how men love to come over here and tell us what to think.^

Innit, and tell us that whatever we're doing we're doing it wrong and not doing it in their approved way.

Tiresomely predictable.

CompleteGinasaur · 27/02/2022 13:13

@LunaLights

You are scolding and reprimanding. You are repeating yourself continuously. You are not adding to any discussion or debate. You are attempting to police, deflect and shame.

No one here wants, needs or appreciates it.

Great summary of @Hawkins001's masterly contributions to this considered analytical debate so far. Hawkins001 seems to have gotten themself into "a bit of a pickle, so to speak, ect.

You are Nigel Molesworth and I claim my five pounds...

Hawkins001 · 27/02/2022 13:21

@CompleteGinasaur

Yes I may have been a complete and utter pickle, but my points stand, why swear and curse, when we can debate, analyse and develop understanding and knowledge in different areas.

Dick Moore- nominative determinism in action

BloodyBaffled · 27/02/2022 13:23

I don't think anyone gives a flying fuck about any particular analysis, but you crack on if that's how you get your jollies.

Is Hawkins trying to tell us he's a master debater?

littlebilliie · 27/02/2022 13:28

I thinking we need a Mumsnet index of our own to rate these organisations.

I actually felt scared when I read his tweet, as is all is going in in MI6, where is the insightful, respectful intelligence?

OP posts:
Theluggage15 · 27/02/2022 13:31

Why are some organisations so keen on getting the Stonewall points? I just don’t get it. Do they think it attracts people to work for them? That the general public care? that it’s good PR? Do they get bonuses off the back of it?

CompleteGinasaur · 27/02/2022 13:32

For the love of God.. the problem everyone has with you is that you haven't actually made any points or provided any analysis. You've just told us off for being so swearily unladylike. Anytime you want to actually provide some cogent analysis that contributes to a developing understanding and/or knowledge base about any area at all, please feel free to give us the benefit of your insight.

Until that time, however, just fuck off with the tone policing.

RobinMoiraWhite · 27/02/2022 13:32

@MrsWooster

I am sick to death of being told how to react to things. You constructively debate til the cows come home, Hawkins, you embrace pseudo-religious mantras that give you a warm, fuzzy, inclusive feeling deep in your parts. You have NO RIGHT to tell me what to feel, think, or say and your belief that you do is horribly revealing of the entitled, privileged ideology that you are shilling for. And that goes for you, Robin, too.
I don’t recall that I had told anyone how to think, just expressed MY views that (1) RM may actually believe what he’s written - given his organisation’s obvious need to have diverse workforce and (2) that MY view of diversity is rather more widely inclusive than some other contributors.

Surely I am permitted to have a view, given that I have worked directly in D&I man and woman for approaching my 35 years now.

If calling RM anything that comes to mind helps anyone, then that’s a personal privilege (less available in Russia, of course). I doubt he is a numpty, given the position he holds.

Now, the bird needs carving…

CompleteGinasaur · 27/02/2022 13:33

Sorry, that was to Hawkins001 (Absolutely obviously..).

Yes, yes he is…. ect (sic). Grin
Ahoyashipg · 27/02/2022 13:34

I think you are all being very unfair. Hawkins (pictured) is merely helping to facilitate conversation in a helpful manner which allows the simple women of Mumsnet to learn how to debate properly, using appropriate language of course.

MI6
TooBigForMyBoots · 27/02/2022 13:36

@officerhawkins001, if you dont like sweaty ladies, MN isnt for you. Now fuckity bye.

yourhairiswinterfire · 27/02/2022 13:39

I'm glad Moore told us this, because that's what has been keeping me awake since the invasion started.

Never mind the bombs, the people being killed, families fleeing or some having to send their family away to safety whilst they stay and fight, crushing at the Polish border, ordinary citizens being instructed to make molotov cocktails, and a threat of serious consequences to any country that intervenes...

No, it's the thought that people in the UK might not have an LGBT+ network at work to make them feel super safe that's had me tossing and turning at night Hmm

RobinMoiraWhite · 27/02/2022 13:40

@Redshoeblueshoe

I see we have a new teacher in town. Fucking amazing how men love to come over here and tell us what to think. As for Robin - why do you post on here but block us all on Twitter ?
It’s social media. We are all entitled to make choices about who and how we interact. Or have I got that wrong?

And how, by expressing MY view, am I acting by as a teacher?

In this instance I saw a responsible public servant expressing a view I agree with and being criticised. I didn’t agree with that criticism and wanted to express that.

What’s wrong with that?

Or is only ‘groupthink’ allowed?

CompleteGinasaur · 27/02/2022 13:41

Red dwarf, most excellent
OperationDessertStorm · 27/02/2022 13:41

But Are we permitted to have a view? I thought no debate came from your side?

Freedom of speech is suddenly important again is it? Maybe we should hang on to that one?
