as for the lgbt+navel gazing+ group- my patients don’t know about my sexuality because I’m not trying to talk about myself, I’m focussed on their care.

I've just renewed my HCPC membership and had a look at the updated standards. It seems the update is just an excuse to shoehorn EDI into as many points as possible.

Here's a nice example,
8.8: identify their own leadership qualities, behaviours and approaches, taking into account the importance of equality, diversity and inclusion

not quite sure what the above actually means, any ideas? and points 5 - 5.8 just seem to be saying the same thing over again - but watch out for your unconscious bias!
