Please sign into CSP and look at the new iCSP discussion "Stonewall and the CSP"

A great thread beginning and agreement that stonewall are problematic and women's rights are being overlapped by male rights

Then a HUGE ESSAY by a TRA

Sad

He's such a feminist that he doesn't even realise that being male is a characteristic!

Why is he tweeting political stuff from his work account?

why is he tweeting at all?

Add singing “he’s no bloody use to anyone
hes no bloody use at all”?

This is what I don't understand as well.
If I tweeted political stuff from my work account I would expect someone to have a word with me. That's why I have separate work and personal accounts.

He seems to tweet a LOT. It's a wonder he has any time left for the day job!

stealtheatingtunnocks · 06/04/2023 19:56

And it is all wirh an (obvious) bias.

how do they decide who the new CEO is? I heard he has been clear that he wants it. It’s a bit worrying that someone quite so, well, wirh so much zeal, would be in charge.

RadFizz · 06/04/2023 22:50

I don't have an issue with him tweeting political stuff when it comes to the health policy or the NHS etc as lobbying and trying to influence policy is part of what CSP does. But why wade into the gender identity debate when you don't know what you're talking about?

Surely the next CEO would have to be a physio? I don't think he is.

northender · 07/04/2023 00:45

Phil Gray was CEO before KM, he was a nurse

RadFizz · 07/04/2023 13:28

True @northender but perhaps times have changed. My money would be on another woman who's a physio. I hope!

Check your inboxes.
They want to hear about satisfaction and diversity.

Note “personal” link. So they know it’s you, just like they know it’s you on the anonymous posts on iCSP

I see that Jack H is still on the equality committee https://twitter.com/BazSarine/status/1651234481230032898?s=20

But I believe that's Jack Chew on the screen above him. Has he been re-educated??

Calyx72 · 27/04/2023 20:39

Looks like him. Who knows.

I filled in the survey honestly so I'm expecting to have a tap on the shoulder 😆

Has anyone heard anything about recruitment of a new CEO? If you know any GC physios in high-ranking positions then I would strongly encourage them to apply once it's advertised!

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 15/05/2023 11:05

Jack Chew?

RadFizz · 16/05/2023 06:52

Hah, not sure members of council can run for CEO. Though for an organisation that goes on about diversity and inclusivity etc it still seems to be mainly white men who are their directors, judging from their website. Plus ça change!

northender · 25/05/2023 06:41

I see an online CSP allyship event is being pushed quite heavily on twitter

RadFizz · 02/06/2023 15:55

Just received my latest Frontline and it has a truly ridiculous article on the power of lanyards, featuring that most oppressed of minorities - a straight white woman with short hair! https://www.csp.org.uk/frontline/article/whats-lanyard

But also, sexist much? Why wouldn't her classmate invite her to the cricket if she wasn't in her drag alter ego?

In one class I introduced Jeffrey, my male alter ego and drag name. It was a nervous moment, but public support via the lanyard gave me confidence.

One classmate leaned over: ‘I’m a member of Lords. If Jeffrey wants to come to the cricket, he’d be welcome.’

northender · 03/06/2023 06:49

Ffs it's all about bringing your authentic self to work...again.

Calyx72 · 03/06/2023 12:09

I don't understand why this woman was so nervous. Not accepted for looking androgynous? Who bullies anyone for looking androgynous at her age? Cutting words in a previous job? I call bullshit.
And 'drag name'? Does she do drag? Or is that what it's called when a female self identifies as male?

Sorry, physios, I’ve been lurking on your thread for a while in increasing disbelief - I’m not a physio so don’t really belong here (hey! maybe I need a lanyard!) but this latest preposterous nonsense has pushed me into posting.

An ‘older’ woman - at 34? Clearly a woman, just with short hair? And that makes her working environment somehow ‘unsafe’?

As for the invitation to Lords for ‘Jeffrey’, why didn’t it occur to her that a smug male was happy to extend an invitation to the exclusive boys’ club of cricket to someone presenting as male, but presumably wouldn’t invite her as the female she actually is? Sexist twaddle! Why not get angry about that?

I think we should leave comments on that article pointing out how sexist it is. Also, the subject isn't even LGBT - she's just got short hair!

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 13/06/2023 20:03

Does anyone listen to Dennis Kavanagh and Clive Simpson's podcast, The Queen's Speech?

Yesterday they spoke about Pride and a group of leather man when one leather man appeared to choke another on on a float. They discussed whether this was appropriate, said that leather men have been part of Pride forever but that it's gone very queer theory and choking isn't safe.

I wonder if we know the leather man? and if so, is engaging in or emulating a sex act in public upstanding behaviour for an HCP?

Calyx72 · 14/06/2023 11:34

"Leather man" was who I thought of when I read this today. It's how I (and I think we on this thread) feel - what happened to decorum and dignity?

" If Jeffrey wants to come to the cricket, he’d be welcome"

God that third person thing is weird. It's like humouring a small child but also feels like mimicking people with multiple personality disorders.
