Why is the cisgender flag grey?

Who chose this? In fact who invented all these flags?

I have no gender. It’s a stupid concept when you think of it.

And to think our generation scoffed at the branding of pink razors and gardening tools ;and the extra £££). When I was little we didn’t have ‘gendered’ toys really - of course there were dolls (hated them unless they were ones that moved) and action man (yay all that cool kit - helicopters! Jeeps!). Otherwise it was Lego, Meccano, those weird stretchy toys... clothes too were not overly pink and frilly.

When my niece was little I noticed a lot of pink toys and clothes. I thought it was all rather girly.

It's all so pathetic and navel-gazing. Flags. Awareness. Days of remembrance. Frankly I'm bored of it. I'm bisexual but disassociated myself with the LGBTQ+ movement. I've better things to spend time and energy on.

Interesting to see those definitions and I wonder what I come out as based on them. I assume they would label me as CISgender but I am not. I am a natal female who presents on the feminine end of the scale because of the way I look and because of programming from society, but, I also have traits from the masculine scale. I wear trousers, I have hobbies that including fighting and shooting. I am the higher earner. But then, this scale was created by humans and was a means to control females by. So based on their world view I'd be partially trans non binary?

The good thing about a white flag for normal people (or rather the flag flagweirdos would assign me because I don't believe in gender) is that we are all likely to be badged up to the hilt already.

That means, for no additional purchases I already have my normal people alliance bedset, sheets, towels, I sometimes use my just-a-regular-human flag napkins & tablecloth, I wear regular human tops & t-shirts or skirts, trousers.

Wonder how many of those flag addicts realise they probably own bedsets etc... bearing the flag of what appears to be their evil arch nemisis flag group?

I don't believe in genderbollocks which is all any of those flags mean to me.
It means don't use this business, don't employ that person (not because of their sexual preferences which I couldn't care less about, but because if they have to wave a flag where I can see it when it hasn't nothing to do with the situation, they will be a troublesome employee), don't vote for that politician, don't watch that film it's full of unhealthy ideology etc...

Wanting one's own flag is quite a handy marker for attention seeking narcissism, no? Ditto immaturity.

@specialsauce oh, I totally agree. It just constantly blows my mind that the sort of crap only (very immature) teenagers would be invested in is being adapted into real life like it’s fact. It’s just mental.

The ‘cisgender’ flag being grey is so absolutely grey on purpose. They can’t even be bothered to hide their distain for who they think are their oppressive overlords.

This flag obsession is interesting as I bet they are sneery about people into their nation’s flags (Americans and the English flag in the UK).

Pink for femininity. Blue for masculinity. Purple for femininity and masculinity. Black for lack of gender. White for all genders.

Surely though the eyes of critics race theorists, that flag is a micro aggression: the colour black being used to denote a negative. Naughty, naughty genderists.

Part of the recruitment of children. When all your friends have fun coloured pin badges and shoe laces, you don’t want to be stuck with a boring one. So you pick an identity that looks good as an accessory so you’re not left out.

Yup, and I think there's an element of insecurity in some people involved in all this flag business. Wanting to think that having a gender identity is better, edgy and some kind of personality trait.

It reminds me of those men who are always talking down on football etc. and how men who like it are stupid and whatnot. Deep down, there's a resentment there about not fitting in. Most of these people will grow out of all this.

This is absolutely how it's functioning in schools right now. Everyone has to pick an "LGBTQ+" identity, preferably trans of some kind, or be square. And yet we have earnest "allies" still thinking that it's nice and kind to affirm this stuff because it's someone's "true self" and so it's right for them to get medicalised asap. Of course it's not going to be reliably their true self when they are under pressure to claim those identities to avoid being a sad boring loser.

The oldies amongst us will remember the John Major puppet on Spitting Image as being all grey to denote how boring he was

I'm just so sick of people attempting to pigeon-hole me, themselves, other people. I've spent my entire life doing what I want to do, wearing what I want to wear, saying what I want to say. I'm not a tomboy, I"m not outspoken, I'm not bold. I'm a biological woman. I'm not a ciswoman and I don't need f**king flag.

Why do the gender brigade want to pigeonhole themselves further and further? Its ludicrous. It goes against everything they supposedly stand for about freedom of expression. Express yourself how the hell you want- it doesnt mean you have to deny and abandon your biological sex!!
