Who chose this? In fact who invented all these flags?
Mostly people online. People on reddit, tumblr, deviantart and so on generate new flags and they then get added to the specialist wiki database. I say people, but I think a lot of them are actual
children.
The pace of change is speeding up now. You get new iterations of flags/symbols every few months. I honestly think teenagers online develop new identities so they can pursue their interest in vexillology and make a flag for it.
For example, the genderfluid flag in your screenshot looks like the 2012 one.
The Genderfluid Pride Flag was created in 2012 by JJ Poole(they/them), anagenderpansexual from New York state who advocates for people who do not fit into heteronormative society. They designed it to encompass all gender identities, and as such, the genderfluid flag has five horizontal stripes and five colors. The colors are:
Pink for femininity. Blue for masculinity. Purple for femininity and masculinity. Black for lack of gender. White for all genders.
In 2021, LGBTA wiki userFruitIndividualdesigned an alternate genderfluid flag that represented the fluidity and change experienced by persons with this identity in the wave pattern of lines. It is quickly catching on and may soon be the preferred genderfluid flag.
