It's worrying the misconceptions you see when you look at the replies though.
Even GC people arguing the toss are sticking to arguments about testosterone.
They are not getting across that:
The average woman has testosterone levels of around one. The IOC trans require transwomen to get theirs down to ten. A lower normal in all males.
That testosterone has already done it's work by puberty. Larger muscles and denser bones.
That some differences between males and females are there since birth, like hip placement. This is why girl and boys have different growth chart percentiles.
That transwomen require zero surgery to take women's sports places.
That surgery and hormones only effect superficial outside changes like facial hair growth and the appearance of breasts. They don't effect an individual in any way significant enough to make it even remotely fair.
The campaign of misinformation is working. DH asked yesterday why it's got this far, whilst expressing disbelief that it could go further. He doesn't realise the depths this has effected people. Sensible people now thinking transpeople take magical pills to become the opposite sex.
I don't actually know what to do about it. I need to speak out, but the climate of fear and misinformation makes it so difficult.
