Fantastic!

WhatyoutalkingaboutWillis · 19/07/2021 13:24

How many of you have subscribed to The Times recently? I have and I know my daughter has.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 19/07/2021 13:25

Wow! That's great. Especially for those Times readers who don't have the online edition and miss out on all the useful commentator analysis under articles

PandorasMailbox · 19/07/2021 13:25

I know several people who've binned their Guardian subs to join the Times.

What was the context? Great to see it!

PrincessNutella · 19/07/2021 13:30

I mean, oh, what horrible transphobia, of course.

alkanet · 19/07/2021 13:38

I'm not sniggering Princess, no, really I'm not🤗

Well, we'd long ditched the Graun for the Independent, and then the i when the Indy went online-only. So it was the i we binned for the Times, when their journalism went steeply downhill too. The Times costs a lot more but at least I'm getting good journalism and accurate reporting (as much as they can, within IPSO rulings).

Yeah I posted on another thread. I never saw this one 🤦‍♀️

Heat frazzled. In Scotland 😂😂😂

CiaoForNiao · 19/07/2021 13:39

Huzzah.

CrowdedMouse · 19/07/2021 13:39

I was going to ask for a share token to read the article but I'm tempted to subscribe now!

It was a collaboration between Standing for Women and For Women Scotland. It's to get people talking about why the definition of the word woman's supposedly transphobic.

I have binned guardian and subscribed to the times
Just wish they would get rid of that rod Liddle but think he’s only on Sunday. Anyway, I digress, YAY for The Times abs what a flippin world we are in when stating that is controversial Sad

MondayYogurt · 19/07/2021 13:50

I'm still reading/buying The Observer as they have a different take to the Guardian.
But yes, The Times and Sunday Times are more likely to go into the shopping basket these days.

Beowulfa · 19/07/2021 13:56

Wowsers. Will buy a copy on my way home.

That's what I've done too. My 19 year old self would be horrified Grin.
Shedbuilder · 19/07/2021 14:17

I wonder who paid for the page? Really can't imagine the Times offering it for free. Is it Posie and Standing for Women?

Roystonv · 19/07/2021 14:18

Brilliant

TabbyStar · 19/07/2021 14:20

Comments in The Times in general are pretty much unanimously agreeing that a woman is an adult human female. It's actually just a small but vocal section of the media that's been captured.
