I'm so confused about all the circularity of this my mind is boggling.

I do not like the word Womnx. I like the word 'woman'.

Seems the trans community doesn't like it either and they have branded twitch transphobic.

I don't know if this is hypocritical given points of view I have expressed about cancel culture in the past, but I absolutely think Damien Barr should be ruddy cancelled!

Every time I remember the screenshot, I am appalled all over again. I genuinely cannot imagine ever, ever, ever, ever saying something like that. It's repulsive.

The thing about fake news, is that it doesn't matter if some see through it, as long as a critical mass of gullible suckers believe it.

It's pure revisionist history. We already have the word woman or female. Trans allies invented 'womxn' to be inclusive of transwomen, enbies, and other gender identifies. (Oh apparently black women because they're racists.) Women complained about them literally erasing the word "woman" with the X out and were called transphobic. (There were even radfem cartoons about this.) Now everyone is repeating we invented it.

It has been alleged that a supposed news site has spent this evening doing find and replace of "womxn" in past headlines.

If they'd just thought about their value system logically in the first place, they wouldn't have this problem. There were transwomen saying they found it exclusionary and counter to TWAW to be called a womxn and tbh, they were right- it is contradictory.

But no. For their style guide they were with the loudest voices who were concerned merely with sticking it to the t**fs. Now the fashion has changed and they've been left desperately clambering to catch up.

I love this. I think the push to get people to respect pronouns is a huge problem. Even here I regularly see women calling men "she" because that's the rule. We need to push back against this because men are not female so the she pronoun is not appropriate.

I rather suspect PN etc took to using 'womxn' more after they realised feminists rejected it, and then got uncomfortably hoist by their own petard.
