After the demise of no 4 thread, does anyone think it’s worth reviving or should we rephrase the question? 96%- 4% at the end I think.

My understanding is that Langry was banned for being a previously banned poster and the other poster was also banned for the same thing. Whilst it's not usual for women to speak like that, some do. Especially entitled ones who think we are all nasty bigots. I haven't seen anyone confirm that it was a man. I actually suspect it was woman.

Hmm.

I'm going to spend a bit more time on aibu - a good thread about getting Stonewall out of schools atm - some feathers are slightly ruffled.

You're welcome @Rockinmomma. And good to have you. The more the better!

The difference between the two PBPs were that one did not behave the same way as the other and only one was blamed publicly and it wasn’t the badly one .

Would the ‘Janice Turner’ question be worth posting there?

A different poster said they’d be asking this if all candidates prior to voting (presuming local elections too).

Would it be worth ‘AIBU to ask you all to ask all candidates the Janice Turner question’ over there?

I think there’s often an argument for taking voting back to basics. Not party politics but looking at candidates. If any candidate from any party was willing to be loudly gender critical publicly and pledged to vote against their parties pro self id stance, well if there were a few like that and they got windfall votes and gained seats on the back of their stance on this I think that would send a really strong message to candidates about consider women’s votes. I don’t think it matters if it’s labour, ld, greens etc if the candidate was willing to be 100% commitment to fighting for women’s rights and shutting down self id I think we’d have much greater impact that voting Tory regardless of the individual candidates view or spoiling ballots. A Joanna Cherry from every party would make way more difference imho.

Is it worth trying to get others to consider this approach?

I could ask the aibu, but I have zero idea how to enable voting or switch it off or post links or the pic of Janice Turner tweeting it etc so others might be better placed to do it?

I haven't heard the Janice Turner question. What is it?

I have just finished trawling through the four threads and thoroughly applaud the heroic efforts of the amazingly well informed and eloquent women on there. It is thanks to them that four threads were achieved at all 💐🥂

Reading the four threads in a one-er made the usual derailers and whatabouters seem even worse than just coming across their unquantified spoutings in a couple of posts. Fantastic sunlight.

Janice Turner retweeted the labour dick heads ‘no’ to women having single sex prisons, sports, toilets etc.

It was someone else’s question initially, the labour dickweed answered no, Janice Turner retweeted saying we should all be asking all candidates this question. On the aibu thread about labour fuckwhat another poster had brought it up and called it the Janice Turner question.

I suck at the technical stuff and am no way diplomatic enough to start a successful thread over there, but I’d definitely take part if anyone thought it’s worth asking.

And I think drawing attention to how we could use this to vote based on which candidates were willing to be publicly, loudly gc and stand against their party line for women’s rights and vote against self id is a good thing. Voting in a few Joanna Cherry’s from any party would send a stronger message than the tactical voting Tory or spoiling ballots imho. If a few mps won majority’s off the back of being publicly gc then all parties might start listening and recognise that 51% of the vote is something they want more than the wokey Twitter voice that they bow to currently.

Women say no - is quite a nice counter mantra
