Simulated pregnancy and induced lactation

Should possibly come with all sorts of trigger/content warnings.

DH just sent me this:

twitter.com/godblesstoto/status/1311050509072113664?s=20

TW simulating pregnancy and birth (in a house where their STBEx-wife and children live), already “planning” that the baby will be stillborn, and then wondering aloud if someone will lend them a baby to breastfeed.

All in a group for mothers taking medication so they can produce milk for their babies. Given how poor breastfeeding support is for many mothers in all parts of the world I can’t work out whether I’m more offended, disgusted, or terrified that this person has centred themselves and has people cheering them on.

DH questioned why women were commenting in support - I said it was part of the socialisation to “be nice”. His response was that it’s not being nice, it’s dangerous. And he’s right, but why can so many women not see it? Does it go beyond socialisation? According to other posts in the thread women were removed from the group for saying the person’s post was offensive/triggering to those who had experienced the loss of a child.

I don’t even know why I’m posting it really, other than I was so agog and this is one of the few places open to comment on things since I abandoned twitter

I am female, which isn't bound by biological terms

It absolutely is "bound by biological terms", applicable to all organisms which reproduce sexually. Why is this appropriative male being allowed by women to get away with this sort of rubbish?

Oxyiz · 01/10/2020 11:24

I've only just seen this.

This is horrible. It might even be one of the most sinister and fucking awful things I've seen a TRA do. And I still remember when one told me on reddit that I was lucky to have had repeat miscarriages, because he couldn't even get pregnant.

CorianderLord · 01/10/2020 11:34

always seems to be the case, transgender people are the last to get nice things. The studies generally require the participant to be a natal woman.

  1. a woman died for this.
  2. THERES NO WHERE FOR A UTERUS TO GO IN YOUR BODY.
Disneydoll12 · 01/10/2020 11:56

I saw this guy's story on twitter. It's so unbelievably disturbing. I can't for the life of me understand how any person can be supportive to him and encourage this insulting charade. He needs serious mental health counselling.

His poor wife and children, being emotionally manipulated by this raging narcissist. He is not a mother and will never be a mother. I have zero sympathy for this abusive, manipulative behaviour. His wife and children, need to run far in the opposite direction from him.

Datun · 01/10/2020 12:34

@testing987654321

I know this case is particularly shocking. It's hard to understand why he has got this far.

But then I remember that as a society we have put rapists in women's prisons and have forgotten what a woman is. This is simply the logical conclusion of going along with untruths.

I agree. Although it's an extreme conclusion, it follows the logic.

If penises are female, and women's biological traumas like period pain and infertility are coveted and sexualised, then this is more of the same.

The self-serving, fetishistic inhabitance of women's misery served up as fake victimhood.

It makes you yearn for the days when men were just sexist pigs. And not this utterly inhumane layer upon layer of misogyny.

I can't help thinking that the supporters on that Facebook page were also of the same ilk though.

There can't possibly be that number of abnormal women in one place, surely.

Sexnotgender · 01/10/2020 12:35

Female isn’t bound by biological terms? Hahahahaha😂

And your body won't naturally make the right hormones, and (not sure about this) probably even more issues with tissue typing/rejection.

I'd assume that no ethical medical team would want to go near putting a uterus in a male unless there had been animal tearing, and I find it very hard to believe that the ethics committees in charge of animal testing would sanction those experiments. Confused

Gabrielle features in this video from 2 years ago. From 2.15 onwards they talk about their jealousy over their wife's pregnancy

CaptainInsensible · 01/10/2020 14:49

Be really needs some long term therapy to help him come to terms with the fact that he is not able to bear a child, due to not being a woman. Anyone who’s going along with his delusion is not helping him, they’re just stopping him from seeking help.

BraveBananaBadge · 01/10/2020 15:03

Just look at those comments on the YouTube video though - so many people simply seeing a dad forcing his family to play along with him becoming ‘mom’ as a stunning and brave thing akin to adoption (the film isn’t about the ‘pregnancy’ though, but the narcissism and delusion are stark).

HecatesHat · 01/10/2020 15:04

[/quote] Wow. 'My wife was really protective of Mom', well yes, as you attest she bore them and endured difficult childbirths and had trouble breastfeeding and it's her name!!! Fast forward and you've taken that name from her?! It's like a sick joke. This person is obsessed with birthing a child, but this person has children!!! It's the process, not the kids. Why are people validating this, there are so many red flags?
BrandineDelRoy · 01/10/2020 15:22

Maybe Gabrielle could just get some kind of procedure so that he urinates a bit with every sneeze.Confused

BrandineDelRoy · 01/10/2020 15:23

Sorry, she urinates.

TheMostHappy · 01/10/2020 15:34

I must have missed the bit about it being a "planned stillbirth" - and even then I found it utterly abhorrent. Can anyone link please?

AngeloMysterioso · 01/10/2020 16:12

@TheMostHappy he’s never actually called it that but basically because there isn’t going to be a baby at the end of his “journey” (because, well, duh) he decided to frame his “upcoming loss” as he calls it, as a stillbirth. A friend of his whose wife endured a stillbirth has told him all about it and “validated his experience” and he also asked women in the group to share their stillbirth stories with him, presumably so he knows how to pretend to feel.

CaptainInsensible · 01/10/2020 16:14

Drawing a nice long bath of someone else’s trauma and settling down for a wank

NewlyGranny · 01/10/2020 16:41

This person is LARP(Live Action rôle play)ing at home and LARPing at work and other people are enabling it and providing the audience, Even the 7yo child is being drawn in as collaborator and photographer to validate the LARP.

Imagine someone coming into work every day in rôle as a Viking warrior or an Egyptian slave, or as an historical figure - Elizabeth I anyone?

How would that go down in your workplace? Would everyone play along for 40 weeks?!

This person needs help to conquer an obsession and ultimately it isn't kind to admire the emperor's new clothes.

DrDavidBanner · 01/10/2020 18:53

What kind of psychiatric care do people receive when they identify as trans? It seems to me a lot of psycological problems can be veiled by trans identity that as in this case remain untreated and fester. I'm trying not to think about it to much because its so disturbing. I mean where does it end, where does this particular situation end? Do the people enabling Gabrielle think that once they've had their birth their life will be complete and they'll just go back to posting cute selfies on Instagram? I don't think so.

BewaretheIckabog · 01/10/2020 19:12

Even on this thread strong GC women are making apologies for his behaviour as mental illness.

I refuse to accept this. This person is documenting it in blogs and SM, it’s about validation, pushing boundaries and fetishism; power play, self-gratification and ego are all evident.

Comparisons to an infertile woman behaving in this way do not stand up. Yes, people would recognise a woman simulating a pregnancy needed MH support, but if she fetishisised it on SM she would lose support.

Gabrielle knows it’s grotesque, we know it’s grotesque. Gabrielle is getting off on that - Gabrielle does not need MH support or counselling, Gabrielle needs to be told their behaviour is reprehensible.

DrDavidBanner · 01/10/2020 19:26

Okay, I've watched the Youtube video Angry

I feel sorry for the kids, Gabrielle doesn't want to be seen as a father. I imagine they have their struggles with having this person as a father too.

Some people don't deserve to be parents.

feellikeanalien · 01/10/2020 19:39

This has absolutely horrified me. I suffered two miscarriages and also lost a twin. It was totally and utterly devastating.

I could not read the Twitter feed. I started but it made me so angry.

If this post is deleted so be it but I really believe that is one very sick individual.

Mollscroll · 01/10/2020 19:40

Yes I agree. But MNHQ won’t allow us to name precisely what is going on here.

turquoisecarpet · 01/10/2020 19:44

I'm so deeply offended by this. When I breastfed I had problems with baby's latch. My breasts bled and looked like someone had taken a razor to my nipples s I would feed and cry in pain.
Eventually we discovered tongue tie and everything got sorted.
Even posting this makes me angry. Some trans person might borrow this information to add to their lists of fetishising what women actually go through.
Makes me sad for all women tbh.

Oxyiz · 01/10/2020 19:59

Its the malicious and overt behavior which tells you this goes beyond mental illness and into deliberate abuse IMO.

This person could have googled stories and videos and made up a long fantasy life for themselves. So far so creepy, but not hurting others as such.

Instead they've hurt their spouse in real life with their behaviour, creeped out friends, and gone online to get women banned from groups.
