Simulated pregnancy and induced lactation

Should possibly come with all sorts of trigger/content warnings.

DH just sent me this:

twitter.com/godblesstoto/status/1311050509072113664?s=20

TW simulating pregnancy and birth (in a house where their STBEx-wife and children live), already “planning” that the baby will be stillborn, and then wondering aloud if someone will lend them a baby to breastfeed.

All in a group for mothers taking medication so they can produce milk for their babies. Given how poor breastfeeding support is for many mothers in all parts of the world I can’t work out whether I’m more offended, disgusted, or terrified that this person has centred themselves and has people cheering them on.

DH questioned why women were commenting in support - I said it was part of the socialisation to “be nice”. His response was that it’s not being nice, it’s dangerous. And he’s right, but why can so many women not see it? Does it go beyond socialisation? According to other posts in the thread women were removed from the group for saying the person’s post was offensive/triggering to those who had experienced the loss of a child.

I don’t even know why I’m posting it really, other than I was so agog and this is one of the few places open to comment on things since I abandoned twitter

I have a lot of thoughts, I’m not sure I can put into so many words... here’s just the one; Surely no one in their right mind would want their hormone laden ‘breast’ milk? 😬😬😬

@Brunt0n

Would be happy to assist in giving him a failed ventouse and emergency c section like I had 🙃

I had an episiotomy with no anaesthetic so that's something to consider.

@SpaceOP

I saw this on twitter earlier. The whole thing is bizarre, but okay, I can sort of see why a TW might go this route. But what on earth is the reason for PLANNING A STILLBIRTH?! I just can't get my head around that. I really really can't. The rest can be seen as someone who is desperate to experience a uniquely female experience and while I absolutely think it's beyond crazy, I can at least process it. But planning to "give birth" to a dead baby? WTAF?

Well, I suppose they do know they're not going to actually give birth. And so at the end, they're going to have empty arms. So (from their perspective) I suppose that makes sense. What else could they do - get a kitten?

But, they already have kids. They've already (presumably) had the experience of holding their own newborn.

I'll save my sympathy not only for the wife and kids, but also for the millions who desperately want children but can't have them.

To be clear, I'm not in the slightest bit sympathetic. I think it's ridiculous, crazy and a sign of serious mental health problems. I just seem to have some additional cognitive dissonance re the stillbirth element!

I haven't read all the details because quite frankly, I can't face it. But I cannot blame their wife for refusing to engage on this.

I am not on Reddit. Occasionally on twitter I'll see someone post a AITA screenshot. And ever time, I think, "No, this surely isn't real? This MUST just be a troll. Right?" That's how I feel about this one. It's just so outside of the realm of normal.

This is so wrong on so many levels.

Simulating pregnancy and birth of a still born baby complete with milk production. And while living with his soon to be ex wife and their kids! How can this not be considered a mental health issue?

Sadly, I have seen parts of this played out by others. A well known US political advisor’s transgender wife had a glamorous pregnancy photo shoot. An executive adopted a child/had a surrogate child and took a hormone bundle that induced lactation to breast feed. And they exclusively tried to breast feed.

It was incredible to think this person fed their newborn from their breast with a chemical laden milk. Mothers are made to be guilty about things that they ingest while breastfeeding.

And there is that transwoman who was breastfeeding and commenting about getting so aroused by it. I think there was a thread on here about it (May have been deleted).

You know it's a world turned upside-down when a woman who had a still-birth is forced out of a support group for pregnant women, so that they can better support an transwoman's fantasy pregnancy. What that poor woman must be going through without having to be confronted with this.

My God. This is an obscenity.

Having just had a miscarriage myself, I cannot actually express how upsetting and disturbing I find this whole thing. Going through a pregnancy (for however long it lasts), only to be left with no baby at the end of it isn't some kind of bucket-list "experience."

I agree Mizzler

I have had fertility problems, multiple miscarriages and birth injuries. The comments this person make about wanting to experience losing a baby makes me sick. I wouldn't want anyone to have to go through it.

I wonder if they induced vomiting, decreased their blood pressure to the point of fainting, gained piles or any of the other lovely symptoms.

I am struggling with infertility and hope that if I ever decided to fake a pregnancy that my friends and family would intervene and get me some serious medical help. How the hell have we got to the point in 2020 that we are letting this happen? We are letting whole families down by choosing to play along with elaborate fantasies instead of standing by facts.

Isn't this the absolute confirmation of what has been said on other threads. Nothing will satisfy, not anything.

and to the women who are affected by this because of their own personal circumstances Flowers

So he was allowed to breastfeed and even admitted to being aroused by it? That's terrifying and very very sick. I hope someone is safeguarding the child.

The more I read, the more I'm convinced that at least in some cases it is simply a fetish. From the trans widows site -"One day, I came back early from shopping to find he had applied a few fake fingernails and hopped into the tub to shave his legs, where I found him in a state of arousal." I don't know about you, but as a woman I don't get aroused by shaving my legs or wearing fake nails.

@PenguindreamsofDraco

The Farmers have quite the thread. Who the fuck are these handmaidens cheering on this abomination? One woman was suggesting he find a friend with a newborn who could suckle on him.

Sad

What woman would do that...well actually I know some would, but they are the ones who belong in prison
This is so disturbing

I mean what do they think it is?

Do they actually think this man has been born into the wrong body, and, despite fathering children, is actually a woman, the same as any other woman, but needs to go through the pretence of having a stillborn child and taking drugs to lactate and donate this cocktail to some unsuspecting woman?

They can't seriously believe this.

Dear God. The quicker schools implement the government advice to stop born in the wrong body fantasies, the better.

We need to start saying no to these weirdos. No, we won’t help you validate your masochistic fantasy of labour and stillbirth. Get some psychological help, urgently. Stay away from women until you’ve got some insight into how offensive this is.

He used the phrase “last to get nice things” about a uterine transplant.

A procedure where a woman had to be dead for it to be available.

Dead.

I can’t.

This person also appears to be or to have been a Girl Scouts troop leader. So is potentially simulating a pregnancy in front of girls aged 5 to 18.
