I thought of doing this thread a while ago, and the thread about GMB has just reminded me.

This is to collect examples of people companies, etc who have strongly supportedself ID and spouted off about "bigoted" "terfs" who have then shown themselves to be hypocritical/misogynistic/downright dangerous.

Please feel free to add your own examples!

I didn't know about the subreddit! I take it they didn't get removed during Reddit's recent purge of "unsuitable" subreddits, then? How curious*.

Aimee was also linked to PRISM, an LGBT youth group, if I remember rightly. Even after all the business about his father and fiancé came out.

Aimee himself is openly a "babyfur" ie has a fetish for pretending to be a juvenile anthropomorphic animal. Much like David had a fetish for pretending to be a child. Not illegal in itself if it's genuinely purely fantasy, but you have to wonder how someone develops that interest in the first place, and when his dad was found acting it out by torturing an actual child and he did nothing, it's very suspect. And posting about it publicly I'd argue takes it out of the realm of fantasy anyway, it's attaching your own name to it and putting it in the public sphere, where it can be linked to you by children using services you're involved in and they then see it as normal.
That reminds me: James Makings, the NSPCC rubber suit wanker (literally). He's another one to add to the list.

It seems that this is a perfect cloak for misogynists. I believe many of the bearded wokesters deeply resent women (eg Owen Jones). This allows them to fully indulge their hatred while appearing to be ‘on the right side of history’. They can even threaten graphic violence and nobody will mind ‘cos it’s only a TERF, innit’. It’s just amazing that none of the handmaidens are able to see that. They have genuinely been duped into thinking that they are so privileged that they have to step aside and give space to white hetero males who claim to have an inner female essence and that those males are the most oppressed people in the world. It’s dumbfounding.

One thing that fascinates me is that there have now been dozens of cases in the UK where a male person who identifies as female is convicted of violent or sexual crimes. Yet the mantra from TRAs is that there is ‘no evidence’ beyond anecdotes that this ever happens and therefore concerns about prisons and shelters are just based on bigotry and hysteria. Forgive me but isn’t a criminal conviction pretty conclusive evidence that the act in question took place? How can these incidents be labelled anecdotes? There is also statistical data on the prison population and offending rate, suggesting no difference between transwomen and non-trans males, but that’s also dismissed as ‘hateful’.

It’s interesting when this is compared to other movements that TRAs are involved with, like BLM. Here, much of the evidence of police brutality is anecdotal, although there are statistics too on things like stop and search. FWIW I believe that BLM supporters do have valid concerns about police racism but I’m just struck by the different standards they employ in comparison to women’s concerns.

Yes, that’s true. BLM is allowed to state the truth - that every time murder of a Black person by police happens is unacceptable and worthy of anger.

Transactivists say only proper studies are proof. Yet block any studies into any aspect of the whole thing. So they can continue to claim no proof, while the proof piles up around them..
