The Dark Side of Some of Those Supporting Self ID

I thought of doing this thread a while ago, and the thread about GMB has just reminded me.

This is to collect examples of people companies, etc who have strongly supportedself ID and spouted off about "bigoted" "terfs" who have then shown themselves to be hypocritical/misogynistic/downright dangerous.

Please feel free to add your own examples!

It is very worrying that these people want to be in the same spaces as my children.

I cant think that any parent would disagree there.

Time was everyone was against self ID because it was so manifestly stupid, impossible and divorced from reality - not that they were 'against' it per se because it just couldn't happen, so they gave it no thought.

Therefore, yes you can claim that Hitler, Stalin, Polpot, Ghenghis Khan, Henry the 8th and Enoch Powell are all 'against' self ID. As was Ghandi, Mother Theresa, Nelson Mandela and Jesus.

Self ID is a brand new (and ridiculous) way of thinking that is forcing a change in the status quo. Looking at the backgrounds of people who are agitating for a change in the status quo - and why they might want that - is entirely different to claiming that because all humans accept a certain form of reality, and some humans are bad, therefore the reality itself is suspect.

You might as well say gravity is bigoted because Nigel Farage subscribes to the theory as recognising sex is immutable is bigoted because neo nazis know it is.

But then you know that perfectly well, don't you?

I've shared before about my discussion with my two DBs about the motivation of men who advocate for male access to women only spaces, Sneakyfox.

On hear we discuss the issues thoughtfully and at length. With my DBs the word "pervert" emerged within the first 30 seconds.

My DH's word was even stronger than that, and also well within the first 30 seconds.

Jess Bradley, did he set up the transhealth or something? Rose of Dawn got lots of stuff on his connection with other allies and trans at student Union level and Scotland. But he has an expensive legal team that kept all undercover.

There is also a Scottish scandal related to mencap? if I remember well, allowing sex with their ‘ under age clients’ and having penis shaped coat hangers in the office where they interacted with the young. They actively sponsored trans in the South west or Cornwall. This is way back!

The guy who posted pictures in the office toilet for a children’s charity. Sorry I’m vague and are not that good at recalling names. He sponsored a homophobic and misogynistic trans person as ambassador.
