Didn’t see this on the current post about her fundraising but thought it deserved a post of its own.

Workshops like that are conversion therapy. Will the proposed conversion therapy Bill target them too?

That's a good point. I would suggest using that workshop as an example of an issue when contacting our MPs when this bill is being debated. Extraordinary that Stonewall hired someone who was effectively running conversion therapy workshops. Shows how very far they have fallen.

I saw this disturbing graphic on Twitter today.

Nice of them to lay out their attack on Lesbians so clearly. If a woman expects to be told something significant about a prospective partner she's not a 'decent human being'? ffs.

Mulletsaremisunderstood · 10/03/2021 09:27

@30PercentRecycled

I saw this disturbing graphic on Twitter today.
All of their responses are simply stating their sexual preferences, which they are perfectly entitled to do....why the author of this thinks that is somehow abhorrent is beyond me.

Also, the author of this (I'm guessing a TW) states 'forgive me for assuming you'd be a decent human being'...eh, where is THEIR decency in pushing themselves on people who don't want them. Grrr, women have the right to decide who they are attracted to.

This seems to be just another male who is p!ssed off that women don't want him. Same old.

ArcheryAnnie · 10/03/2021 10:19

Women can turn down sex any time they like, including in the middle of a date. Drawing a cartoon to outline all the reasons they are wrong to reject sex, and trying to bully and shame them for it, is some seriously rapey shit, right there.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 10/03/2021 10:24

There’s something very male feeling about assuming sexual or romantic partners are selected by exclusions. Like you rule out all the women who are too tall/short/fat/thin/etc and what is left is your acceptable partner pool.

Yes, exactly.

"I saw this disturbing graphic on Twitter today."

That is an amazing own goal. Any sane person looking at that graphic would be in total agreement with the women.

andyoldlabour · 10/03/2021 10:52

There is definitely some very mixed up thinking involved here.

Allison has closed her crowdfunder, and is encouraging people to support other Gc causes.

£150k, average donation £27.

This is amazing: "I received donations from the very wealthy to those in receipt of Universal Credit & from little girls donating their birthday money. "

Ereshkigalangcleg · 12/03/2021 17:50

Fantastic that she has achieved her goal.

Thecatonthemat · 12/03/2021 17:57

Well done all of us and well done and good luck Allison.

So chuffed for Allison! Amazing news.

Reading why CrowdJustice took her page down is just Angry

A bit that stood out was the prison part...Allison said the insertion of self-identifying trans women into the female prison population has resulted in the sexual assault and rape of women. CJ claim this implies that ''all or many trans people are violent or dangerous, etc.'' Confused

It's bothering me, because I'm wondering how CJ would have acted if the woman who recently took MoJ to court had needed to use CJ to fund the case.(Thankfully it seems she was entitled to legal aid, so didn't need to.)

Would her page be taken down too because she'd be ''implying that all or many trans people are violent or dangerous, etc.''? Would she be left with no access to justice in case speaking the truth hurt someone's feelings?

Another update. The trial has been delayed, it won't be heard until 2022, and has been extended from 8 days to 20.

allisonbailey.co.uk/updates/update-6-trial-moved-back/

Following the Preliminary Hearing on 11 – 12 February, a further case management discussion was held today 19th April before Employment Judge Stout.

The disclosure process (which was supposed to have been completed by 12 March) has not gone smoothly. I have provided all of my documents as and when directed by the Tribunal, but although I have received in excess of 6,000 pages from the other parties, I am still awaiting receipt of a number of categories of documents that have not yet been provided to me. My lawyers are continuing to pursue this.

I cannot give any detail of what I have received in disclosure, but suffice to say there is nothing that has given me or my lawyers any cause for concern at all about my prospects of success.

The main point arising from today is that the Full Merits Hearing (Trial) has now been extended from 8 days to 20 days. The Tribunal (and the lawyers’ diaries) could not accommodate this until April 2022, so the trial has been moved back until then, and is now running from 25 April to 23 May 2022. This means that the hearing on 1-10 June is no longer going ahead. There is another preliminary hearing listed later in June, which may or may not be in public, depending on what happens between now and then.

It is frustrating that the hearing cannot proceed as quickly as I would have liked; by the time of its conclusion, it will be over 2 ½ years from the date of the launch of the LGB Alliance and the Stonewall Complaint against me.

However, the extension from 8 to 20 days will mean that the evidence will be ventilated more extensively. This is therefore some consolation for the delay.
