She’s thanked him for his support, which will hopefully help shore him up against the backlash

I don't think he's pinned it. It's just his only tweet today.

It’s still great to see. I’ve noticed a few more blue ticks coming forward. It’s really encouraging.

You're right, not pinned, just at the top of his page. Hopefully the fact she's thanked him on Twitter publicly means they've talked in private, and he isn't changing his mind any time soon. Given the current climate (of fucking angry nutters) I would guess she would have communicated with him first, knowing that her reaction to his tweet would raise the hate levels and make it pretty much impossible for him to retract his support without looking like a massive tool.

They must have discussed it privately for her to be confident enough to say that.

On a probably related note, I seem to recall SK has a very sensible wife.

I'm actually crying at this. Not sure why. I have just loved them and their work for so many years. My two favourite authors and they're on side and he's supporting her. Made my day Grin

She has thanked James Dreyfus, of gimme gimme gimme fame too, who has always stood up for her.

I keep seeing a Siouxsie Sioux account tweeting in support. Is it the actual Siouxsie?

Not quite moved to tears but I feel the same.

As PO said, I read a lot/saw a lot of films of Stephen King as a teenager so I've been a fan for years. So happy to see his support

Yes he does.

SK has previously tweeted about some of the sexist remarks Tabitha, an equally brilliant writer and creative, has had.
