Surely that misstep re Louis means she should be cancelled forever?

MaleficentsCrow · 16/06/2020 00:18

She really hasn't read the room has she, a country with a conservative government with a massive majority in power, with constituencies that have gone blue for the first time in history, means right now the public is holding conservative values as a electorate.

I say this as a apolitical swing voter, there's a reason BJ has said no to this, he's not a TERF, he's not even a feminist, he's a conservative man, with a party in power who have conservative views and values.

Conservative right wing political men don't vote for a penis in a ladies toilet, unless they are that penis smoking a cigar pontificating about their privilege in the "ladies bar" over a sherry. 🤦🏻‍♀️

FantaOra · 16/06/2020 00:18

Yaniv and his racist fucking human rights cases against poor minority women and she's on his side. What a clueless pathetic way to go on. My ex husband worked with her years ago on her first job as a teenager on a E4 show, I think. They all thought she was a completely unprofessional pain in the arse. Nothing has changed.

Gingernaut · 16/06/2020 00:49

There's a #NotInMyName hashtag which was started by white BLM allies, but Mermaids are trying to use to protest against the dropped plans for GRA.

Of course, JJ has retweeted it.

bettybeans · 16/06/2020 03:15

Their attempts to hijack BLM events and create a broader cultural war really pissed me off. There is a relentless need to centre themselves in every single discussion and it's loathsome. They're overstepping the mark so often it must be irritating more people than just those of us who are used to being irritated by them.

NotBadConsidering · 16/06/2020 03:32

There’s a lot of Team Stupid going on. “How do we know this Karen White person is even real?”

I mean seriously? FFS.

DancelikeEmmaGoldman · 16/06/2020 03:45

Any transwoman Jameela?

This one too? Brave of you.

I see the responses on Twitter to the Karen White issue include, predictably, 'but he's not really trans'. Which is strange, because of course that would never happen.

The constant inconsistencies within their arguments never fail to amaze me.

Jameela Jamil is deeply unpleasant. A nasty mean girl bully who has built her reputation partly on pretending to be against the very bullying that she actually stands very firmly in favour of.

I am.sick to fucking death of being told that anyone who says they are a woman is a woman. Even the frickin cps school hate crime guidance made bloody sure that girls knew that a man could be at any stage if transition ( in other words be a bloke dressed as a bloke looking exactly like a bloke) and that saying anything to them could be outing them and classed as a hate crime. then every fucking time something happens the other side claim.he wasnt trans.

Which is it. Anyone who says they are a woman is a woman? Or a woman is a woman unless they commit a crime?

Enjoy it while you can Jameela. You will stuff up one day and they will turn on you. Cos guess what..you are a woman and they fucking hate us.

Dont say they dont cos where are they?.sending threats to jk Rowling and telling women on twitter to fuck.off/calling them a terf , that's where. They sure as hell arent having a go at the activists who just fucked the whole thing up for them by being so bloody stupid and greedy with what they thought they should be entitled to , even boris Johnson couldnt be seen to go along with it. Does that not strike you as weird at all.jameela?

wrongsideofhistorymyarse · 16/06/2020 07:19

@CoffeeTeaChocolate

I am still new to this, but it seems to be that this is a bit of a socioeconomic class issue. It is so easy for all wealthy, well educated women to say that they support trans women and are happy to share their spaces. I get the sense of a glitzy night club where they are welcoming in flamboyant trans women.

I am not sure that many are considering the changing rooms at the council leisure centre, prisons with vulnerable women, refuges or any other single sex spaces for the women less fortunate. In that sense they are offering to share what they do not use anyway.

Am I completely off here?

Not at all. There's some interesting stuff on the internet about luxury beliefs. If you're rich they're a status symbol, but the real life effects trickle down and affect poorer people.
MoltenLasagne · 16/06/2020 08:45

This whole thing reminds me of the fuck up with John Worboys' parole board. Naive or stupid people willingly blind to the risks for girls and women from their actions because they're secure in the knowledge that anything bad that happens won't happen to them in their comfortable safe bubbles.

forsucksfake · 16/06/2020 09:20

Reminds me of a certain humanist who recently defended TIMs in women's spaces while admitting she pays for a gym with facilities that allow her to change and shower in complete privacy.

Woodchiponthewall · 16/06/2020 10:24

The Instagram stories from that journalist are a great watch - she’s bonkers. Has anyone seen anywhere JJ be confronted on twitter etc about Alok’s paedophile apologist comments? Surely they’re indefensible? It’s horrifying to think young people who might be lifted by the I Weigh page may be being delivered into the hands of people with those views.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 16/06/2020 11:16

This. Her posts against JK are appalling.

ShinyFootball · 16/06/2020 11:19

That fact check thing ages up the thread

'But it’s worth bearing in mind that the recorded number of trans murder victims is so small that it would only take one or two more murder cases every year for the UK “trans murder rate” to double or triple. '

But it's ok to record people of male sex who self ID as female in the crime stats? When it comes to sex offences it will have the same result. But the change from collecting sex to collecting gender happened ages ago, no one was consulted, and an FOI police forces couldn't say why or exactly when it happened.

Women are told this is fine. Even when we see headlines about massive increases in female sex offending in the MSM. And we don't know if this is a genuine rise or a consequence of a small number only taking a few to make a massive increase.

The double standards in all of this is absolutely totally bloody obvious and that comment on the article has fucked me right off.

hypernormal · 16/06/2020 11:21

Those comments about little girls being coquettish is exactly what Gary Glitter said in his defence. I wish I was a qualified psychologist, all of this is a fascinating case study revealing how people's boundaries can be broken down step by step until finally they believe in 'female penises' and children who were 'asking for it'.

DidoLamenting · 16/06/2020 11:38

I agree with her re the Miley Cyrus comments.

SunsetBeetch · 16/06/2020 11:46

What about the fact that she lets Robin 'Rapey' Thicke completely off the hook, Dido ? Plus the BIG age disaparity there.

Thicke was 36 there. Miley was just 21 and desperately trying to throw off her 'Disney Girl' image and show the world she was a grown-up.

DuDuDuLangaLangaBingBong · 16/06/2020 11:48

And international child stars rarely arrive at early adulthood with all the tools they need to make healthy, adult decisions.

DidoLamenting · 16/06/2020 12:06

I am utterly sick of the excuses made on this forum for Miley Cyrus. Your comment is deeply insulting to the many, many, talented female musicians who don't choose to debase themselves the way Cyrus does. You are also infantilising Cyrus and denying she has any agency.

Jameela Jamil talks a lot of nonsense but she is spot on with that Cyrus article.

hypernormal · 16/06/2020 12:07

I thought her comments about Catherine Zeta-Jones's mental health problems were disgustingly misogynistic. In less than six years time she will be turning 40 too, so I hope people remind her once she does that by her own standards its totally legitimate to dismiss any of her opinions as 'menopausal' at that point.

SunsetBeetch · 16/06/2020 12:23

What DuDuDu said.

Agree to disagree Dido. Choices are rarely made in a vacuum. Anyway, that's a discussion for another thread.

Yeah maybe it's Jameela's 'time of the month' when she chats shit like this (JOKING of course).
