One day she will look back and regret making all these comments when she was a (34 yr old) teenager.

RedToothBrush · 16/06/2020 12:31

One day she will look back and regret making all these comments when she was a (34 yr old) teenager.

You make that assumption.

The luxury of being well paid as a celebrity is you can retire comfortably at an early age and give no fucks.

BaronessBrighterThanYou · 16/06/2020 12:35

I had not head about the Miley Cyrus thing so I went and had a look. JJ said this at the time:

"I have had quite a lot of those death threats, really scary, sexual threats.."

So she knows what JKR is going thru right now, and yet...

BaronessBrighterThanYou · 16/06/2020 12:36

It wasn't an assumption, it was a joke.

I'll get me coat...

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 16/06/2020 12:45

So she knows what JKR is going thru right now, and yet...

Which implies that she thinks it's possible to deserve the rape and death threats.

Not as feminist as she thinks she is, our mate Jameela.

SunsetBeetch · 16/06/2020 12:51

She exposes her real self time and time again.

twoHopes · 16/06/2020 13:03

I'd love to know what "protected spaces" she's talking about. Can't really imagine Jameela getting her cossie on down the local leisure centre communal changing rooms.

Mrskeats · 16/06/2020 13:14

You're not wrong coffee
It's all about looking cool now. Rich women (sorry is JJ identifying as a woman this week) think they get to give away the rights of all women.
It's bullshit frankly.

Whatsnewpussyhat · 16/06/2020 13:14

Can't wait til she's over 40 and forgotten.
It isn't my peri-menopause that's making me crazy Jameela, it's gobshites like you.

Beamur · 16/06/2020 13:15

She is a professional woke scold masquerading as a warrior of social justice. But I doubt she sees it that way.

MadamShazam · 17/06/2020 11:22

Fuck off Jameela, you self righteous twat.

Deliriumoftheendless · 17/06/2020 11:25

It all reminds me of the time Naomi Campbell did the “I’d rather go naked...” campaign for PETA then wore a fur coat and said she didn’t understand what she’d signed up for.

In time loads of these slebs will be saying “I didn’t understand! It wasn’t my fault!”

Singlewhiteguineapig · 17/06/2020 11:42

So Jameela Jamil, born in one of the most exclusive suburbs of London (Hampstead) and educated at a £20,00 per year school thinks that a woman who has been kept prisoner in her own home, repeatedly raped and beaten, who flees at night with her two children and ends up at a refuge, should be happy with a large trans-woman in her space? Right.
Her lack of empathy and ability to walk in another persons shoes is fucking sickening.

PurpleHoodie · 17/06/2020 12:08

What Delirium said.

PurpleHoodie · 17/06/2020 12:25

Yes Single.

Jameela Jamil is simply a born into financially middling middle class snob - who shits on other women who haven't been born into her parents financial advantages.

She, for example, could never be seen to support the villages and towns in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh creating the much needed single sex toilet blocks for women and girls. To stop them being raped. She's against that.

It is quite obvious that she has issues.

She surrounds herself, and supports angry males who shout "but you are literally wanting to keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel me because I want to wear a revealing dress. Urrrrghhhh. Ahhhhh. You want me dead. Urrrrrghhhh. Ahhhhh. Waaaah"

Knock yourself out geezers. Many of us have been living with celebrities, friends, family doing "gender bending" for decades and we don't all disapprove (see: 1970s 1980s 1990s)

PurpleHoodie · 17/06/2020 12:26

'Middling Middle Class family, snob

PurpleHoodie · 17/06/2020 12:30

Living in the "Luvvie Class", denigrating others, and getting totes-much-attention for it makes her think she is is an 'Upper Class' of some type.

She never will be.

And the men she supports will turn on her asap if she ever forgets her place with them. (She's a woman. Beneath them)

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 17/06/2020 12:39

Sunset excellent article, thanks

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 17/06/2020 12:58

From the Unherd article someone linked to, Prick News have run 37 fucking articles about the Rowling blowup? In what, less than 2 weeks? They really need to get some help for that narcissistic injury spiral they're trapped in.

TheAdventuresoftheWishingChair · 17/06/2020 15:08

I thought any survivors of male violence who have bravely shared their stories in this debate might want to see this. Jameela thinks you're weaponising your trauma to discriminate against trans women.

Jameela again
hypernormal · 17/06/2020 15:25

So 'weaponising past trauma' = speaking about how personal experiences of domestic and sexual abuse has led you to see the importance of single sex spaces for traumatised women and children. Got it. Thoroughly disgusting woman whose whole shtick is trying to appear like she's the 'everywoman' - "hey look, I've got wobbly bits too, I'm so clumsy" - when she's nothing but an extremely privileged model/actress who's never had to use and never likely to need any of the single-sex facilities she's shaming abused women for wanting. She possibly hates older and disadvantaged women so much because she's afraid of reaching her own sell-by date, which according to her is in about 5 years time.

KaronAVyrus · 17/06/2020 15:30

She’s just an extremely unpleasant person.

Collidascope · 17/06/2020 15:31

I've not read Dr Jessica Taylor's book (why women are blamed for everything) but isn't it basically about this? About how women's fear and anxiety doesn't need to be pathologised, that it's actually a completely natural response to the shitty way men treat us...?
I'm guessing Jameela never bothered to read it then. Weaponise, my arse.

SarahTancredi · 17/06/2020 17:14

weaponising your trauma to discriminate against trans women

It's ok to weaponise false suicide stats and false danger rates though.Hmm

Fact check have already shown that they are in fact the safest demographic.
