I think her embrace of this 'Danielle' character she sees as a kind of charity work and thinks it makes her look good incredibly open-minded and kind. She sees it fits in with her whole 'I weigh" brand, in that how you look doesn't define your worth as a human being. Thing is, 'Danielle' is a rampant misogynist trolling women as a pushback against feminism. It reminds me of this prank where they try to get people to sign up to ending women's suffrage. So many people are just willing to put their names to what is presented as a good cause whilst not even understanding what they're signing up for.
