Playing with peoples lives. An ideological experiment. Hope he has had fun. The betrayal that labour voters like me feel is beyond description.

TinselAngel · 12/12/2019 23:44

LOJ will be regretting the reverse ferret he did on Corbyn (IIRC).

LizzieSiddal · 12/12/2019 23:48

Can’t wait to see how he try’s to get himself out of this.

Poota · 12/12/2019 23:59

I'm trying to process a sense of huge, crushing disappointment coupled with a sense of delight at certain people having their arrogance handsomely repaid.

I'm not sure how to deal with this kind of internal emotional conflict, tbh.

I feel exactly the same.

ARoombaOfOnesOwn · 13/12/2019 00:16

Helen Lewis sent a measured tweet in reply to the picture. This was the woman’s response.

I mean, what can you say? How far have we fallen that I have no choice but to say a party which celebrates this kind of shit deserves a thorough, sound spanking at the polls? I just wanted to be able to put my X somewhere it would make a difference. You fucking misogynist bastards made it completely impossible. I hope you have THE worst night of your lives tonight and that some miracle occurs to wake up the grown ups to sort out the mess tomorrow.

It gets worse. You can get baby versions, child's versions and bsbygrows. Scroll through the other available products list.

ARoombaOfOnesOwn · 13/12/2019 00:32

A babygrow? Wtf?!

DuMondeB · 13/12/2019 00:36

Well, this is spectacularly awful.

Shock Angry

ErrolTheDragon · 13/12/2019 00:41

Shockdoes the website have any sort of reporting function?
I'm guessing that the idiot responsible for these items is using a site which just sticks any slogan on a range of cheap white cotton garments rather than that the babygro was deliberate, because surely no-one could have meant to do that?Confused

BeardedVulture · 13/12/2019 00:45

Errol, yes I think you’re right. DH is an artist and sells his work via a merch company. Babygros are one of the products that the site he uses offers- if you’re lazy you can just select the full range of merch without thinking if it’s actually an appropriate design or slogan.

DuMondeB · 13/12/2019 00:46

To be fair, these might not even be listed by the woman in the photo - someone might’ve lifted her idea off Twitter and got in first.

NickelADimeCandy · 13/12/2019 00:48

moteefe.com/

Here is the parent site.

Build your brand
Design your future

We help you sell custom merchandise online

Someone (possibly the idiot women in the picture with Lil OJ is using the site to market these t-shirts.

AnneShirleyBlythe · 13/12/2019 00:48

Who the fuck would buy the babygro🤮the adult t shirt is bad enough but that is just vile 😡😱😭

Poota · 13/12/2019 00:53

Jesus wept. Seriously? A babygro?

OP posts:
ChattyLion · 13/12/2019 01:38

That’s absolutely disgusting

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 13/12/2019 02:09

I'm sure that babygro was the result of a very lazy and unthinking approach to creating merchandise, but that's not acceptable. If you know you've created a slogan which is unsuitable for a child to wear, how in the name of god can you omit to check what garments you've chosen to apply it to?

BovaryX · 13/12/2019 04:12

Owen Jones. You epitomise the problem with the modern Labour Party. This is the upshot. Labour are the party of students and London. And Labour’s reaction to this will be to show their visceral contempt for voters. Yet again

BarbaraStrozzi · 13/12/2019 05:15

Ruby Tuesday, if you venture into this site, to answer your response to Helen Lewis (",we've all done it for less"), no, no I haven't.

Plenty of enjoyable sex with plenty of men, for the only reason anyone should, because both of you find it mutually pleasurable.

I'm sorry you've been so damaged by something in your past, or so groomed by sex possie lefty dude bros (now, why would they do a thing like that, I wonder?) that you now see it as purely transactional.

But you're worth more than that.

GCAcademic · 13/12/2019 07:10

Agreed. You can already see the “thickos brainwashed by the right-wing press” narrative elsewhere on MN, and implied in Corbyn’s own statements. It’s every bit as much the bloody Guardian and the behaviour of Labour activists on their own social media accounts that has turned voters off.

SophoclesTheFox · 13/12/2019 07:41

Jesus Christ, when you think LOJ can’t sink any lower. I’ll give him this, he can always outdo himself.

TiredofthisBS · 13/12/2019 07:44

@GCAcademic Absolutely. I've already seen the 'it's the right wing press' trope on FB this morning. When will they see that the behaviour of the activists on social media did a lot to turn people away?
