Special trans taxi services to keep them safe

Hey BBC, where's our front-page promoted article and video interview about all the things women have done for and by each other, for centuries, to stay safe in public? No?

The "look at poor ickle us suffering from these things nobody has ever had to worry about before" is so infuriating. We have been living this shit forever.

Yes, female only taxi services should be available, it’s ridiculous Glasgow denied one.
Star

I agree

BadgerOfDoom · 06/09/2019 21:29

Especially, when it's often based on a percentage much much smaller than 1% of men murdering their partners.

'98% of violent crime' sounds like a lot, but it's 98% of what is actually a comparatively low figure compared to the many millions of men our there.

70% of parents that murder their kids are female. Can we say that women as a class are 'child killers'? Should we treat every female as a potential child murderer as we can't tell who the good ones are? 🤔

FlyingOink · 06/09/2019 21:36

Six in five transwomen have faced transphobic attacks.
Oh wow, I thought you were trolling, because of the above.

it's 98% of what is actually a comparatively low figure compared to the many millions of men our there
But no, you are making a NAMALT point.

Well done you, all those crying men will feel better now they have you championing them.

Men are a much higher risk to women than other women are. Men are a much higher risk to other men than women are.

Murder rates are lower in the UK than other countries because of lack of access to firearms. It requires a bit more willpower to kill someone by stabbing or choking them than simply pulling a trigger.

Also, I'd quite like to not be mugged, beaten or raped, even if the likelihood of being murdered isn't high enough for me to have to worry about (in your opinion).

Ereshkigal · 06/09/2019 21:37

I don’t need your permission or comment, thank you.

And I'll comment on whatever I like when I see fit, thank you.

Ereshkigal · 06/09/2019 21:39

Six in five transwomen have faced transphobic attacks.

What kind of transphobic attacks would they be?

FlyingOink · 06/09/2019 21:41

What kind of transphobic attacks would they be?

Mathematical ones. Misnumbering.

LangCleg · 06/09/2019 21:47

Mathematical ones. Misnumbering.

How do they read the taxi meter?

TheAlternativeTentacle · 06/09/2019 21:47

Six in five transwomen have faced transphobic attacks

Good grief.

Datun · 06/09/2019 22:06

Six in five transwomen have faced transphobic attacks

What is that supposed to mean?

TheAlternativeTentacle · 06/09/2019 22:09

What is that supposed to mean?

It means that each trans woman is 1.2 times the woman non-trans women are. I think. So making it much more [1.2 x more] serious than just the abuse, rape, murder that non-trans women suffer from.

RosesAndRaindrops · 06/09/2019 22:15

What kind of transphobic attacks would they be?

Why would you even care what the attacks take the form of?
I mean, WTAF?
You may not see it, but it comes across as "what attack is it that then, is it as bad as this then?"
Just.... no.
It's like Top Trumps on here sometimes, I'm aware that sounds dismissive but it's true what I say - it does.

BadgerOfDoom · 06/09/2019 22:18

What kind of transphobic attacks would they be?

Well, one would presumably be non-existent. I was taking the piss.

It's interesting that people become confused when a poster isn't stoicly aligned with one of the battling ideologies. I think both sides have a fair bit of batshit logic going on. I agree with the poster a few days ago who said that if worrying about meeting a transwomen in the toilet is your biggest problem in life, then you probably lead a pretty privileged existence.

BadgerOfDoom · 06/09/2019 22:20

Which is not to say it's not an important topic warranting discussion, but many posters on here seem to have made it their key focus in life.

Ereshkigal · 06/09/2019 22:25

Why would you even care what the attacks take the form of?

Specifically because I know that trans organisations often obfuscate the sources of their "shocking" statistics in a misleading way. For example making out that being "misgendered" is on a par with a physical attack, and that trans people are constantly unsafe, when what they often mean is that they are not protected from hearing opinions they disagree with.

RosesAndRaindrops · 06/09/2019 22:25

Maybe you were, badger, but mine was refering to Erish's
Six in five transwomen have faced transphobic attacks. What kind of transphobic attacks would they be?

Why? Why would you even want to question what type of attack?
I'm presuming as some kind of gotcha on here to be twisted around to something you didn't even say from past experience from poster?
What I've just wrote is going to get twisted but I'm past caring tbh. It's what happens.

RosesAndRaindrops · 06/09/2019 22:26

Oh look poster cross posted

Ereshkigal · 06/09/2019 22:27

I've just answered you. Your attempts to smear other posters are really quite desperate. As ever. That's all you know how to do. Well, try to do.

RosesAndRaindrops · 06/09/2019 22:29

our attempts to smear other posters are really quite desperate

Whatever, your post is clear to see.
I'll always have a little soft spot for you for turning me on here so to speak

Ereshkigal · 06/09/2019 22:29

LOL.

RosesAndRaindrops · 06/09/2019 22:30

your attempt, bold playing up again

RosesAndRaindrops · 06/09/2019 22:31

LOL

Do you even know what post I'm referring to? Bet not, but it sticks out in mine.

Ereshkigal · 06/09/2019 22:32

You're entirely uninteresting to me, Roses. You don't turn me on at all. So to speak.

RosesAndRaindrops · 06/09/2019 22:33

You don't turn me on at all. So to speak
Good good then didn't expect anything else.

TheAlternativeTentacle · 06/09/2019 22:34

I'll always have a little soft spot for you for turning me on here so to speak

You find this a turn on?

It takes all sorts...
