Lawsuits against The Guardian to follow, no doubt.

The article is quite funny in its po-faced declarations of transphobia (and no evidence whatsoever to back them up).

That's what happens when you indulge, indulge, indulge.

They turn on you. They always turn on you.

Look at A Challenor and the Green Party, after everything the Greens did for the Challenors. Challenor quit, citing transphobia.

Shona Craven is a brilliant advocate for the sex based rights of women and girls.

She is the journalist who wrote to Glasgow Life ( Glasgow City Council) regarding their policy of self ID and mixed sex toilets/ changing rooms at venues in the city that amongst other things allows men into the women's toilets at The Tramway Theatre in Glasgow.

How she was treated when she complained about there being a man in the toilets while she herself was using them is detailed below:

And for those who missed it, here's a thread from earlier this year about Glasgow Life's policy of letting males access women's spaces as and when they please and what happened when a complaint was made:

thanks, nettie. Yes, Craven is great.

'Buddhists would say we've all been everything, you know' (Craven quoting Wolf)

She sounds like a teenager with a very shallow and shaky grasp of various ideas, throwing them all together in a slapdash manner in an effort to prop up a vague ideology she hasn't really examined.

Reading that thread Wolf comes across as an absolute muppet with not the slightest clue.

@ScrimshawTheSecond and @nettie434 I haven't paid a penny to anyone and I can read this:

www.thenational.scot/news/17840656.feel-betrayed-woman-behind-myth/

Have they changed the access since it was published?

nettie434 · 18/08/2019 00:22

Looks like it MoleSmokes. I have noticed that when posters share articles from The Times the share tokens have a time limit so perhaps this was the same. Interesting that the SNP seems to have become a bit less woke. Is this the influence of the excellent Joan McAlpine and Joanna Cherry et al?

ScrimshawTheSecond · 18/08/2019 11:26

It might be that there's a limit of how many articles a month one can read and I've reached it? Hold on ...

ScrimshawTheSecond · 18/08/2019 11:28

Hm, no, still can't access it, unfortunately. I think I got the gist of Wolf's waffle from the tweets, though.

Re Naomi Wolf, here is another review of her Edinburgh Book Festival appearance.

The New York Times book reviewer wasn't terribly impressed with her last book, or indeed with any of her output. www.nytimes.com/2019/06/05/books/review-outrages-naomi-wolf.html

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 18/08/2019 16:59

I was listening to ‘more or less’ and their book turns out to be built on her misunderstanding of historical info. Sheesh even I knew that her stats were incorrect (keen reader of history). Even the guardian floated (but then she is a womanly woman):

Forgot to thank you for those links TerryLeather. Am very impressed!
