You can also buy little frozen things ummm my periods aren’t icypops! Might be rather refreshing though.

MargueritaBlue · 13/08/2019 14:05

I'm pretty sure also, women cant be convicted of rape here in the UK

As pointed out on the other thread- that is wrong ; both as natal women and persons with penises , regardless of what the penis owner calls themself.

JustbeaDentist · 13/08/2019 14:27

I'm just repeating what someone told me on here! You're welcome to Google it and tell me I'm wrong (please do...)
What I do think about the whole sorry business is that tampons being absorbent, and the lining of the bum being so delicate, it must be risky.

Re: women can't be charged with rape, I thought they just called it sexual assault now instead. Which women can do.

BertrandRussell · 13/08/2019 14:32

There are very specific circumstances where a woman in the U.K. can be convicted of rape -it’s called, I think- joint purpose. But it has to involve a penis. Rape, by definition under English law is penetration with a penis. Penetration with anything else is sexual assault.

GirlDownUnder · 13/08/2019 14:50

English law is penetration with a penis.

So could a transman with phalloplastybe be accused of rape?

QuimReaper · 13/08/2019 15:36

@JustbeaDentist I couldn't find any reference to this practice on MN, but after several differently-worded Google searches I found a reddit thread. Bizarre!

Loubot · 13/08/2019 15:58

Yeah I commented saying I'd been corrected elsewhere. But I still think it will be manipulated that way. No way will they let him be treated as a man and you can be sure of long delays while they figure out what they can do and say without invoking angry TRAs every five minutes.

I am utterly convinced the AGPs will manipulate the law to allow them to rape indiscriminately.

MargueritaBlue · 13/08/2019 17:26

So could a transman with phalloplastybe be accused of rape?

The Scots statute specifically includes constructed genitals.

Yeah I commented saying I'd been corrected elsewhere. But I still think it will be manipulated that way

No it would not. Rape is an act committed by a penis. The wording in the Scots statute doesn't even refer to man or woman.

1Rape

(1)If a person (“A”), with A's penis—

(a)without another person (“B”) consenting, and

(b)without any reasonable belief that B consents,

penetrates to any extent, either intending to do so or reckless as to whether there is penetration, the vagina, anus or mouth of B then A commits an offence, to be known as the offence of rape.

(2)For the purposes of this section, penetration is a continuing act from entry until withdrawal of the penis; but this subsection is subject to subsection (3).

(3)In a case where penetration is initially consented to but at some point of time the consent is withdrawn, subsection (2) is to be construed as if the reference in it to a continuing act from entry were a reference to a continuing act from that point of time.

(4)In this Act—

“penis” includes a surgically constructed penis if it forms part of A, having been created in the course of surgical treatment, and

“vagina” includes—

(a)the vulva, and

(b)a surgically constructed vagina (together with any surgically constructed vulva), if it forms part of B, having been created in the course of such treatment.

The English legislation is slightly different as it refers to he/his/him but the position is clear- rape is an offence involving a penis.

pepperpot99 · 13/08/2019 17:44

Someone put this perv in jail please.

MargueritaBlue · 13/08/2019 21:50

I am at all comfortable with some of your comments about rape Loubot. Even after being told you are wrong you continue posting about scenarios of trans people getting round the law.

Loubot · 13/08/2019 22:11

You shouldnt be comfortable with it. I've met people like this they're fucking scary. It's why I started looking for information myself. Its traumatising actually experiencing some of it.

Loubot · 13/08/2019 22:12

I genuinely believe theres an agenda against women and children and an unstoppable one.

I'm not winding you up I dont think people realise the sorts of things this actually links in with.

TinselAngel · 13/08/2019 22:32

Loubot do be careful, you're new around here so you may not realise that MN is targeted by TRA's who screenshot posts for twitter.

It sounds ridiculous I know but rumour has it they've even been known to screenshot comments they make themselves and pass them off as transphobia!

Loubot · 13/08/2019 22:39

To be honest I dount any of them would be able to link to my real life. I changed my name on here before I started commenting. I've been on other boards on here occasionally for a while.

I'm not some weirdo preoccupied with rape. I explained earlier my partner was attacked recently. When I say I witnessed it I mean this literally happened in our bedroom 3 ft from my own eyes.

The people like this are getting worse and maybe I am paranoid but it's what I've seen myself and what I'm seeing and hearing online.

I'm not ashamed to talk about what's in my head. I have a lot of beliefs and opinions on this.

TinselAngel · 13/08/2019 22:52

How did somebody that dangerous end up in your bedroom? I hope you're not being coerced into risky sexual stuff.

Loubot · 13/08/2019 23:39

No, they seemed normal at first. I dont want to out myself so I wont go into detail but absolutely no coersion. My lifestyle hasnt changed for my current partner in any way other than its improved because he helped me with my eating disorder and I can work again (I'm a qualified professional person). I'd never ever come across this, and then all of a sudden weve met quite a few of these really alarming characters.

Weve never come across people like this and then the next thing you know they're everywhere.

I cant even repeat the fucking bullshit I've seen from these people without sounding like an absolute twat, a moron or a weirdo myself. They're twisted and I think they need locking up for the safety of all women and children.

Loubot · 13/08/2019 23:43

And TRAs can call me transphobic. I'm not talking about trans people. I'm talking about straight men using the label and womens clothes in order to abuse women. And children in JYs case. He is going into bathrooms with 10 year old girls ffs following them about trying to talk about periods.

GirlDownUnder · 14/08/2019 00:20

So could a transman with phalloplastybe be accused of rape?

The Scots statute specifically includes constructed genitals.

Thanks for the info MargueritaBlue

NeurotrashWarrior · 14/08/2019 08:20

I'm not winding you up I dont think people realise the sorts of things this actually links in with.

I think some know. Too well.

TinselAngel · 14/08/2019 09:10

'm not talking about trans people. I'm talking about straight men using the label and womens clothes in order to abuse women.

Loubot you are keen to make a distinction between the behaviour of JY and the behaviour of your partner. Indeed you chose earlier in the thread to emphasise that difference by asserting that the trans widows husbands were more like JY than your partner is.

Given that you and your partner engage in sexual behaviour risky enough for him to sustain a throat injury from a relatively unknown person in your own bedroom, (strangulation game gone wrong?), I would like you to retract your earlier comparison regarding the trans widows please?

CuriousaboutSamphire · 14/08/2019 09:27

It might be more constructive to ask Loubot to keep her mind open and to see that there are different ways to view the behaviour of those around her.

It is shown often enough in the Trans Widows thread that women find it very difficult to see clearly and need time, support and a few "WTF?!?!" moments to work through their often very conflicted thoughts.

Loubot has herself said that she/they live in something of a bubble and that she is just starting to look up and out!

OohthatlovelyNigelfromBabyClub · 14/08/2019 09:39

@Loubot, sorry for more questions, I'm trying to see where you're coming from with all this. Please feel free to ignore.
How long have you been with your partner?(months, years, decades) And were they trans when you got together?
I am also directed toward the Trans Widows thread sometimes so interested to see where you are compared to me. I'm not quite in your position though.
