Minnie - i don't think most people who attend Pride are so out of touch with public opinion in the UK that they think there's that many people who still regard homosexuality as 'perverted' in any sense. Acceptance of same sex relationships has never been more widespread, except bizarrely, within the genderist/ Queerist movement itself.

Try telling that to victims of hate attacks, which still happen with regularity, or those who are forced to choose whether or not to show affection for a partner because of the area or company they're in. Wider public acceptance doesn't mean there aren't widely held unpleasant views out there.
