No words for this. A 16 year old coerced into going the whole way up to genital surgery.
The result is heartbreaking.

WARNING: very graphic quote. If you think it's TOO graphic I'll report it. Not sure about MN rules. But I think we need to see this up front. Especially lurkers on the fence.

I tried to have sex with a man 8 months after my bottom surgery and I felt disgusted with myself for having him penetrate a pool of bacteria. Blood came out of the cavity during penetration and I could see he was uncomfortable with the looks of the vulva and with the feeling of the vagina on his penis.

He knew I was trans, I told him, but he had never dated a trans woman before.

I was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis around 1 year post op. The vaginal cavity was full of unhealthy bacteria, despite me douching with isobetadine regularly.

At this point it became very clear to me that what I have between my legs is nothing more than a surgically created wound.

I honestly don’t understand how this surgery is even legal. It butchers a healthy body and comes with life threatening side effects.

So sad. These stories need to be picked up by the press so people hear the truth. Legal action needs looking into, these people have been treated appallingly especially when they were vulnerable minors.

SarahTancredi · 03/08/2019 19:31

This is so very sad Sad

Everyone deserves someone who treated them with respect and kindness.

I worry what kind if partner will have sex with people who dont get anything from it.

That's not a relationship I'd want to be in.

There was never anything wrong with this person. So what if as a Male child they were effeminate. They were just fine as the were .and had a healthy fully functioning body. Sad

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 03/08/2019 19:50

Jesus, this poor boy was deliberately targeted.

I have no words.

TemporaryPermanent · 03/08/2019 19:52

It's so important that as few incentives as possible are created for this surgery. I think of this when I hear people saying that they accept transwomen as women if they've had surgery. It shouldn't be relevant in any circumstances. Then it stands revealed as surgery to reduce mental health issues. I hope it dies out.

RuffleCrow · 03/08/2019 19:54

These people have been sold a dangerous lie. I hope they can find good lawyers.

Isnt it all...well...misery loves company

Sicario · 03/08/2019 20:02

I have never understood how anyone thinks you can "make" a vagina (or a penis). It's desperately upsetting to think of the butchery that goes on and how it must affect the person who is left disfigured and dysfunctional.

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 03/08/2019 20:08

In my view any medical professional that suggests it is possible to 'make' a penis or vagina should be struck off. It is utterly unethical.

But then as I've stated elsewhere I am opposed to these surgeries even in adults.

FormerMediocreMale · 03/08/2019 20:09

Sicario this person was a very vulnerable 14 year old child when a much older TW started grooming them. I know the surgery took place in adulthood but after being groomed, a cocktail of drugs from a young age and medical proffessionals lying to them.

As an outsider and adult its easy to see things for what they are but totally different when you are in that possition.

Ikeameatballs · 03/08/2019 20:12

Very sad.

littlecabbage · 03/08/2019 20:22

Heartbreaking. That poor, poor man.

Popchyk · 03/08/2019 20:26

It is just so sad, it really is.

Reminded me of Jayden's story here in the UK. One of the Webberley's patients who committed suicide at age 18.

Jayden had Asperger's and was bullied at primary school and then joined a pride club run by a transgender teacher at secondary school. Jayden subsequently identified as transgender.

Awning10 · 03/08/2019 20:27

YouTube is full of videos glamorising "top surgery". Try a search on "top surgery reveal". It's disturbing.

FannyCann · 03/08/2019 20:32

The surgeon was Dr Bowers. Would that by any chance be Marci Bowers, one of the surgeon's who operated on Jazz Jennings?

Shocking grooming of that poor boy with the horrific cascade of events. I wonder if the parents really made that ultimatum - therapy or move out? Many parents find themselves unable to protect their teens from the harmful influence of someone who has groomed and targeted their child, from dud boyfriends to religious sects to drug dealers to this sort of scenario, the older trans woman offering their advice - and these people are being invited into schools up and down the country to "educate" the children and staff...

user1486131602 · 03/08/2019 20:40

The tragedy here is that having gone thru all of this for a better life, it is in fact worse, coupled with regret.
I’m so sorry x

Popchyk · 03/08/2019 20:41

Just the twee euphemism "top surgery".

Double mastectomy actually. Say what it is at least.

It is why Susie Green called the police over certain people referring to her castrating her child. Susie markets it as gender affirming surgery.

Language of the cult and their enforcers. Targeting children.

Meanwhile our politicians cower in the corner, only coming out to chant "Trans women are women" when Stonewall instructs them to.

This young man in the OP was vulnerable, just moved to the US as a young teen, didn't have a network of friends, was bullied for being effeminate. Enter the much older male transgender person as 'saviour'.

That's what these children all have in common. They are all vulnerable. Easy prey for the vultures.

AllNaturalWoman · 03/08/2019 21:32

Awful, I feel so sad for teen son caught up in this Sad the surgeons and affirmative therapists should be made to read these stories.

WrathofSWhittIeKIop · 03/08/2019 22:16

I was blinded by the amount of harmful support that I got

"Harmful support"
It's hard to believe anyone could be so cruel.

Melroses · 03/08/2019 22:40

I wonder at the doctors really. I mean it is only a bit of deeply inverted external skin, and we all know what happens to belly buttons and flabby folds Blush when the air doesn't get to them.

NotBadConsidering · 03/08/2019 22:57

It’s not bacterial vaginosis. That’s when there is overgrowth and imbalance of the bacteria in the vagina. This is an infected iatrogenic wound. There is no possible way to balance the bacteria there and it can never be infection free. Horrific.

NotBadConsidering · 03/08/2019 23:04

GROOMING
GROOMING
GROOMING

Goosefoot · 03/08/2019 23:09

I wonder if the parents really made that ultimatum - therapy or move out?

It wouldn't surprise me. Either they didn't really think he'd move out or they were just at the end of their rope and couldn't cope as things were. Sometimes that happens especially if there are other kids.

Voice0fReason · 03/08/2019 23:10

That is heartbreaking to read.
This harmful support must be stopped.

TemporaryPermanent · 03/08/2019 23:15

I come back to the issue of informed consent.

How would it ever be possible for anyone to consent to this surgery, at least under the age of about 30?

I think there probably is a bit more back story to this. But fundamentally, a surgeon decided that exploring a patient's decision making and circumstances was not needed or not appropriate.

I will never know what it feels like to have sex dysphoria. But that's a rotten reason to have such radical surgery with such an impact and such permanent self care needs.

TitianaTitsling · 03/08/2019 23:20

Sorry but if we are going to properly look at this then It’s not bacterial vaginosis. That’s when there is overgrowth and imbalance of the bacteria in the vagina. This is an infected iatrogenic wound. There is no possible way to balance the bacteria there and it can never be infection free. Horrific.. Has to be taken into account. The soft soaping of agreeing it's Bacterial Vaginosis is still wrong
