Oh the irony! Watch the woke folk implode with self-righteous indignation!

Karma?

I can understand LOJ's radio silence. It's a dilemma for him. Does he side with the BME LGBT male (maximum points!)? I'm sure he wants to. But he would then have to admit that Self-ID can be and is being used by those who may not actually identify as they say they do. That people LIE. And that would be contradicting everything he's claimed for Self-ID to date.

He'll have a judgement of Solomon take at some point. There is no way he'll be able to resist.

I'm hoping it will be glorious and his best to date.

Here you go @SarahTancredi

BickerinBrattle · 28/06/2019 22:23

Because this is exactly what Self I.D. does and why Big Money supports it: it has the potential to destroy ALL protected classes.

If you can't ring-fence, you can't have a protected class.

Given its name, any member of the Labour Party ought to understand what a CLASS is and should have seen the obvious problem.

Astonishing how misogyny creates blindness. Eye researchers should look into that.

Popchyk · 28/06/2019 22:29

The Labour LGBT+ Twitter feed is hilarious.

They tweeted:

twitter.com/LGBTLabour/status/1144561215768846343

Under no circumstances should someone who is cis and straight be speaking over LGBT+ voices when it comes to our community. This is absolutely disgusting and cannot be allowed to go unchallenged.

"We are supporting Rohit in submitting a complaint and raising this with the Party"

Hundreds of people are making their views known. Grin

Eaudear · 28/06/2019 22:38

I'm really enjoying this, that LGBT labour twitter thread is glorious.

LOJ's head will be exploding right now. The prick.

WhereYouLeftIt · 28/06/2019 22:39

Very good point, BickerinBrattle. Very good point.

Come on Owen, do it for your Mumsnet pals Grin

TriptychDebbie · 28/06/2019 22:52

Go on OJ. If you do, I promise never to play that video again where someone calls you a wanker Grin

MagneticSingularity · 28/06/2019 23:01

Well the LP is at least consistent in their approach to appointing the least appropriate/qualified person to any given role.

On the plus side it’s pleasing to see that what goes around is coming around very nicely. Very nicely indeed.

Redshoeblueshoe · 28/06/2019 23:05

And which video would that be ?

I like the JHB one where LOJ storms off !

Owen Owen Owen
Maybe it's passed his bedtime

Yeahnahyeah · 28/06/2019 23:11

Can't wait to see who got the role, and what their veiws are.

Has the good doctor got nothing to say ?
I thought that he checked here every day Shock

TriptychDebbie · 28/06/2019 23:22

Ignore me at your peril Owen....

TriptychDebbie · 28/06/2019 23:23

The good doctor's remained schtum

Voice0fReason · 28/06/2019 23:24

It is outrageous, but this is the Labour Party now, and I struggle to care when they couldn't give a shite about women.

TriptychDebbie · 28/06/2019 23:26

Not so long ago I would've been on there supporting him.

That ship has long since sailed

WhereYouLeftIt · 28/06/2019 23:30

Yes, there's going to have to be a Herculean-sized cleanout of the Labour Party before I'd be able to vote for them again. And I just don't see it happening. They're currently trading on what they used to be, which is very far from what they are now. Sad

TriptychDebbie · 28/06/2019 23:41

There were a lot of ex Labour voters on that thread. Most of them pointing out the hypocrisy of the same politicians who ignored women's concerns about the GRA and men taking women's positions, but were falling over themselves to comfort Rohit. A man who crowed about transwomen or whatever the hell I'm supposed to call them now (I can't keep up) taking places that were meant for women.

Their failures to listen to us brought them to this. Zero sympathy here.

andyoldlabour · 28/06/2019 23:49

Labour, you have lost me and so many others.
We are in a political wilderness, where the views of the masses, men and women alike, have been sacrificed on the alter of worship towards dubious minorities.

Popchyk · 29/06/2019 00:05

My personal fave on that thread.

"Shove your cis up your toilet area".

EweSurname · 29/06/2019 00:31

Rohit’s doubling down on his refusal to see parallels

Stella Creasy's been very quiet since her supportive tweet. I wonder if she's having a proper think.

It's really weird that the winner of this post is still not named anywhere.

O-WEN! O-WEN! O-WEN! O-WEN!

I'm looking forward to prick news's take as well. The bar is set very high since they reported that Diane Abbott asked Julie Bindel if she was OK but I'm hoping they can exceed all our expectations with this story Smile
